    This is my "score":
Aw, you are still listening to music? That's adorable. I only listen to low-frequency, ambient frog whistles.
As a world-class poser disposer, you don't really have any identifiable tastes, just a condescending laugh and an incomparable eye roll. The 99.9 percent of humanity that doesn't qualify for this group takes solace in knowing that we can kick your scrawny, fashionable ass.

  • Q&A of My Overall Top Ten Artists

    22. Mai. 2007, 9:02

    1. Mates of State
    2. Clap Your Hands Say Yeah
    3. The Decemberists
    4. Cloud Cult
    5. Stars
    6. The Arcade Fire
    7. Oppenheimer
    8. Matt & Kim
    9. Regina Spektor
    10. The Shins

    1. What was the first song you ever heard by 6?
    Rebellion (Lies), oh, great song.

    2. What is your favourite album of 2?
The debut self-titled record, of course! Only one of my favorite albums of all time!

    3. What is your favourite lyric that 5 has sung?
ooo tough. between these two stanzas

This scar is a fleck on my porcelain skin
You tried to reach deep but you never got in
And now you're outside me, you see all the beauty
    Repent all your sin

If I am lost for a day; try and find me
But if I don't come back, then I won't look behind me
All of the things that I thought were so easy
Just got harder and harder each day

    4. How many times have you seen 4 live?
None! Just got into them this year, and they came three times to New York, but I'M NOT 21, GODDAMNIT. three shows in one city, same venue, same stupid 21+ venue.

    5. What is your favourite song by 7?
My Son, the Astronaut, since that song is more meaningful to me, but Breakfast in Nyc is a close second

    6. What is a good memory you have considering the music of 10?
Seeing them live made for a good time; I saw them with a bunch of kids I hadn't been to a show with before, and I loved that show.

    7. Is there a song by 3 that makes you sad?
haha that's a funny question. Does the Decemberists really produce any happy songs? but the one with particular meaning/sadness to me is Eli, the Barrow Boy and then The Crane Wife 3

    8. What is your favourite lyric that 2 has sung?
Oddly, not particularly. Being one of my favorite bands ever, I have never noticed until now that it is not their lyrics that leave an impression on me...weird. They are intelligent lyrics, mind you, just not particularly meaningful to me, personally.

    9. What is your favourite song by 9?
Several top notch songs: Fidelity, Consequence of Sounds, Poor Little Rich Boy, On the Radio

    10. How did you get into 3?
My ex-boyfriend (boyfriend at the time of my 16 Military Wives obsession), who I would never have guessed to have liked The Decemberists, at all, as he is more into film than music, and isn't the biggest hipster around.

    11. What was the first song you heard by 1?
Either Fluke or Tan-Black; oh jesus, how I loved these songs, and how they set off the Mates of State bomb for me

    12. What is your favourite song by 4?
    Alien Christ

    14. What is a good memory you have concerning 2?
One of my crowning moments in music was when Alec Ounsworth sat down next to me at an afterparty for their show. Yeah, that trumps playing at Carnegie Hall and/or Lincoln Center anytime, for me. And yes, I have performed at Carnegie Hall (no joke).

    15. Is there a song by 8 that makes you sad?
No, how can Matt & Kim make you sad? They're such happy people, Kim's laughs all the time, and Matt's always smiling that goofy grin.

    16. What is your favourite album of 5?
Set Yourself on Fire, obviously. However, they're coming out with a new album this year, which I'm verrrrry much anticipating!

    17. What is your favourite lyric that 3 has sung?
Colin writes way too many amazing lyrics, I can't possibly narrow it down.

    18. What is your favourite song of 1?
I think ultimately, it boils down to Goods. However, though I'm a big fan of For The Actor, Ha Ha, Fluke, and fraud in the 80s. And I think their cover of Starman is one of the best covers I have ever listened to.

    19. What is your favourite song of 10?
Tied between Fighting in a Sack and New Slang

    20. How many times have you seen 8 live?
One and counting! I'm seeing them this summer at Coney Island fo' free, and did I mention that I've already met both of them? well, I have.

    21. What is your favourite album of 1?
Collectively, I think it would have to be Bring It Back (I know, I wussed out with pikcing the latest release; Team Boo is a close second)

    22. What is a great memory you have considering 9?
None to speak of. Eep! I need to see her pronto!

    23. What was the first song you heard by 8?
It's a Fact (Printed Stained), because it was the first track on the album
