Really surprised that The Beatles, Eric Clapton and Dire Straits feature on a list called 'crimes against music' which gives Victoria Beckham, Westlife or Nickelback no mention whatsoever...

  • Daniek08

Beg your pardon, Nickelback are on there...

Tears in Heaven, Wonderwall, Yesterday and even Yellow Submarine (remember it was just a B-side originally, never meant to be taken very seriously)? There are worse songs...

Train In Vain, Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da, Holding Out For A Hero, Tears In Heaven, There Must Be An Angel (Hmm, what's the hate against Annie Lennox for?), Still Got The Blues, American Idiot, Somebody Told Me, Pretty Fly (For A White Guy), AND THE TREES, WTF????? I love how such crap as Warrant, Britney Spears, Donna Summer, Rascal Flatts, Rod Stewart, Rihanna...etc. etc. are not on there.

I don't like radiohead fans either, but the band itself has nothing at all to do with it. It's not like the encourage them or something. By the way, and I don't mean to offend you, dislike some band because of their fans is quite stupid, sorry. Besides, you said it's boring not only a good song from a good band, but the BEST song from the BEST band around! That's what pisses me off! haha But that's ok, i respect your (bad) taste. =)

I just don't see how their music can be qualified as dull and wanky, even by people who don't like them. Let's face it, they 1)write extremely original music and 2)are very talented by playing the instruments (the guitarist has classical formation and stuff). Isn't that enough to exclude them from being, not possibly boring as that has to with the listener sensitibility, but dull and wanky? Actually the only negative point i can think about them it's they're very ugly persons haha. But I don't think that's a crime.

I totally agree with your point about fans. Some radiohead fans are utter pricks. But when Idioteque comes on in a club and the whole place goes sick... NOBODY cares who's seen them more than x, or who owns the earliest version of y, they're just in it for the music. I think perhaps an important distinction needs to be made between Radiohead fanatics and music fans here, cos I for one do not think they are the one and same at all. Besides, you get obsessive fans with every band. Its not just Radiohead. I've been bored to tears by fanatics of Biffy Clyro trying to outdo each other with tales of meeting them etc... the very same people who were annoyed when they reached a wider audience later on during 2007. And ANYWAY, you picked Paranoid Android to explain your point?! Do NOT agree with that at all. Yes they have boring tracks, but that is categorically not one of them.

In general Britney Spears is an atrocity but Toxic is one of the better pop singles of the decade. You could have made a better choice (ie anything else she's ever recorded)

I'd agree but I also noticed a lot of people find it extremely annoying (probably because it's so catchy). Oh, and: Volume 2 - 100 more crimes against music
