Fri 2 Apr – Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra, A Silver Mt. Zion, aMute

it was a great show <3
as good as the albums are, live they are even more impressive!
they play well together... how else to say it? the violinists were particularly more integral than i thought. much admiration from me!

Setlist: I Built Myself a Metal Bird, There Is a Light, God Bless Our Dead Marines, 'Piphany Rambler, 1,000,000 Died to Make This Sound and the encore was Microphones in the Trees.

I tried to call for BlindBlindBlind
    but no dice, alas.

I get the impression that it would be nice to talk to Efrim. let him talk and just get it all off his chest. In a room full of people he tries it... but would be better if one could really engage... he seems to have a lot on his mind and is wondering what people think.

  • Clint Mansell (some notes about that)

    17. Okt. 2008, 22:33

Thu 16 Oct – Clint Mansell

he said it was the first time he gives a concert of his music. he seemed very humble, surprised at the packed hall. he was a bit nervous but really handled it well. talked a lot about his process of composing and how working with aronofsky changed his life. i wish he would have played more from The Fountain soundtrack. The selection from Requiem for a Dream was pretty amazing so I was not disappointed. I really hope he does this again... and next time I hope he can get permission to project footage from the films during the concert, I was a bit disappointed by the visuals. Overall, he was charming and it was obvious that the musicians with him had worked hard to play the material live. :) nice show.

  • you looked down and saw now what was happening

    20. Sep. 2007, 12:51

you came and laid a cold compress
    upon this mess i'm in
threw the windows wide and cried
    amen, amen, amen

the whole world -stopped- to hear you hollerin’
you looked down and saw now what was happening

the lines are fadin’ in my kingdom
(tho I have never known the way to border ‘em in)
so the muddy mouths of baboons and sows
and the grouse and the horse and the hen
grope at the gate of the looming lake
that was once a tidy pen

and the mail is late and the great estates
    are not lit from within
    the talk in town’s
    becoming down
    right sickening

  • Talk to them they will say...

Learn to say the same thing
Let us hold fast to sayin the same thing
I hope all is well with you
I wish the best for you
When no one is around love will always love you

Learn to say the same thing
What defeats people is a double confession
One time they will confess one thing
And the next they will confess something else
Talk to them they will say

Learn to say the same thing
Let us hold fast to saying the same thing
Never give up no never give up
If you’re looking for something easy
You might as well give it up
Never give up no never give up
If you’re looking for something easy
You might as well give it up

One time they will confess one thing
And the next they will confess the next
Talk to them they will say

Learn to say the same thing
Let us hold fast to saying the same thing

    Say
