    It's good, innit (the new Perfume Genius, that is)?. It took a while to grow on me, however. Are you leaving London then? INCORRECT.

    yeah,the comparision with The Fall is exactly what i had in mind, the kind of bands that don't have bad albums, just some are more difficult to get into! thats why i said it's a matter of taste, cos that's what basically happend to me with The Fall - i never really enjoyed them too much until i heard the ravey 90s albums, well, my now boyfriend is an extreme The Fall fan so he started to show me stuff, but what i had heard before didn't impress me that much compared to what he showed me. woah but also,it's a bit different here cos EN don't have that many albums. anyway, keep me posted, i love to follow people getting into EN!!

    ..generally it's just a matter of taste, with EN it may be a hit n miss kind of thing, but i'd say do a slight research on rateyourmusic or something like that in regards of Halber Mensch, Haus der Luege and Richterskala, pick one, and then do the same with the later albums, especially Silence is Sexy and Perpetuum Mobile, the first is purely invention music with sunny synths at times and the latter is the same just the invention thing plays with air all the times - tubes,pipes etc. it's hard for me to choose one or two cos i love everything they've done cos it's so different and cool and frankly i don't remember what got ME into them, but yeah, pick something from the harsher era and something of the soft era and then just listen to everything hahaha.. hope that helps, it's been a while since i have recommended EN to anybody,it's getting difficult with the years..

    weeeeeell, this is a very not so easy task, depends on what you're looking for. first two albums are barely listenable,except if you're an extreme/industrial/noise fan, then the third album - Halber Mensch - is classic Neubauten, but my favorite two albums are the slightly more artsy and contemplative next 2 - Haus der Luege and Richterskala (has a longer name,but i name it like that).. then Neubauten suddenly go soft and more listenable and it's a whole new era. I usually recommend people one of the first era albums, and then one of the next era when they suddenly converted themselves into.. not to say SIMPLY experimental music, taste and everything what makes EN special is still there,but it's not harsh anymore, but it's like invention music, so maybe Tabula Rasa and Ende Neu would be better left alone for a while,but 2000's Silence is Sexy and Perpetuum Mobile are amazing in that sense.

    Hello! Currently procrastinating to avoid an essay and realised I forgot to reply to you, sorry sorry. Hmmm, yeah I get what you mean. I did have a slight feeling afterwards like something was missing. Almost as if they were chucking out the songs with little else going on. I understand and respect that some bands aren't about that, but a bit of something would have been nice. Other gigs... in all honesty I haven't given it much thought yet, been a bit busy. I did want to go see The Drums but tickets were sold out. ): What about you, would you like to give me some ideas please? (; x

    Hello to you too! Oh The Horrors, I enjoyed it greatly. Had the perfect spot right at the front and everything went up from there. Sea Within A Sea was definitely the highlight for me, plus the support band were pretty alright too! How did you find it?? x

    Good! I haven't heard of Scott Walker before. But I see a lot of him on your profile so I will definitely check out those albums you mentioned. I'm always up for something challenging! More often than not the most difficult listens are eventually the most rewarding, so thanks. Ugh. Don't know about that. I gave up on art because it made me give up. But i'm happy about it, because things have worked out better that way. Sorry this sounds all speaking in riddles-ish. (;

    Ashamedly I haven't been there either so it's a first for us both! Totally, saw the coverage of them at Glastonbury this year where they played some of the new tracks and it was impressive. But yes! Please do. Sea Within A Sea is a track I never tire of. And you will probably never tire of either, educationally guessing and all that. And thank you, it's lovely to hear that. But my da is a graveyard. Of broken dreams. And stuff. I gave up on art.

    Oh yeah we're going to the same concert! I've never seen them before so am pathetically excited about it. Skying is perfect, in a different direction to their other material but that's hardly a bad thing. I would recommend Primary Colours if you haven't listened to it though. Because it's really quite good. And p.s. i'm not interesting. I make the art of paint drying interesting. Fact.
