    Definitely check out diSEMBOWELMENT- Transcendence Into the Peripheral, really excellent stuff. Then maybe Katatonia- Brave Murder Day, their later stuff is practically alternative rock instead of death doom metal.

    A session with you and Rale on plug sounds fun! :). We should totally do that sometime. It's too bad Rale is busy with exams right now...:(. As for your suggestion....maybe I'll do that one time. I've been pretty much working a full time schedule lately so it's been hard to find free time at all. After today, I'm working the rest of the week which sucks and they are evening shifts. Not normal hours at all haha.

    This Nuito band reminds me of Animals As Leaders without the chugs. It displays a phenomenon I typically experience with modern prog. stuff of having some cool individual parts that just don't really come together in the end, whether intentional or not.

    Daniel/Blut is my bestie and nobody treats him better than me. I even sent him free dipers for Christmas in response to him confiding to me that he still wets his bed, and the Jew doesn't even celebrate Christmas :P. My face is currently permanently twisted into a deranged metal scowl, but if you and Alice shower me with enough adoration in the forum, that expression might change ;3

    I used to listen to Opeth on almost a daily basis in high school, and also listened to some old prog. like King Crimson and Floyd as well as a few prog. metal bands, but have never delved too deep into it. A lot of prog. just either comes off as too milquetoast (see Camel) or too scatterbrained for me, like they have a lot of decent ideas but just fail at coherently putting them together. As for how I got into metal....pretty typical story. Nu-metal and Metallica got me interested in the "heavier side" of music in middle school, and subsequently I discovered bands like Darkthrone and Deicide through the internet, which pretty much cemented me as a metalhead for life. I've gone through almost every subgenre of metal to some extent (yes, I've had my deathcore and symphonic girl pop metal phases too), but have more or less figured out my tastes and aesthetic preferences at this point.

    I love Anchorman hahaha, I still laugh so hard at that movie, it's just so ridiculous. "Baxter, is that you!? Bark twice if you're in Milwaukee." xD I still haven't seen the sequel but I'll probably check it out soon enough. Well no complaints here, that's fucking awesome, I loved Autopsy on my first listen as well, in fact most of the acclaimed death metal bands I've been able to get into relatively quickly. Atheist took me a good week though.
