You're moving in a kinda Metallica-ish direction that I don't dig so much... but the albums still rule!
DEI and Chaosphere doesn't really do it for me. Also, why can't Fredrik take the time and LEARN the solos and replicate them live. I mean, how awesome aren't the solos of Future Breed Machine, New Millenium Cyanide Christ and Ritual (all time fav solo right there)? Though his live solos are quite good too.
Wow, erm... The Throat of Winter from the God of War: Blood and Metal EP had its moments, but is otherwise a really shitty song.
4. Hans Zimmer
He has recently developed a habit of copying himself endlessly and/or writing uninspired music. Guilty pleasures possibly, but still uninspired.
5. John Williams
He doesn't score a lot these days. Also, I've heard that his demeanor is quite arrogant and egocentric, which are always bad traits.
6. Howard Shore
The score for Twilight: Eclipse was a tad bit disappointing. Also, WHY IN GODS NAME DID YOU DROP OUT OF KING KONG?
Their latest was kinda bad. Honestly.
8. Lamb of God
Their early stuff has some crappy production values and incomprihensible vocals.
9. James Newton Howard
He consistently score Shyamalan's films, and although the scores are great, the movies kinda suck. A lot.
10. In Flames
A Sense of Purpose isn't too good an album.
11. Between the Buried and Me
The vocals of their early work are too crazy for me, and they are never going to top Colors. Ever.
12. Hans Zimmer & James Newton Howard
Their scores are not that good. Just guilty pleasures.
13. Porcupine Tree
Much of their older stuff is not on Spotify :(.
14. Devin Townsend
His stuff is always out, racking the price up way too high.
15. Scar Symmetry
They sound kinda samey after a while. And The Illusionist is not that good. And DMD wasn't so top-notch either.
16. Danny Elfman
I want to like his Hellboy II score, but I just can't dig into it.
17. Fredrik Thordendal's Special Defects
They really shouldn't be this high up. It's just that the album has like, 27 tracks.
They're not very original. And a lot of their songs sound kinda the same. But some of them rocks too hard for one too care!
19. John Powell
Dunno. I've heard too little bad stuff from him to really know.
20. Into Eternity
Been ages since I listened to these guys. I don't care for them so much anymore.
