Time for the week of june twentyfifth through july second! Finally a change in the weekly top artists!!

weekly top artists
1) Underworld ~ No surprise here.
2) Orbital ~ Woah, this is shocking. I usually forget about listening to Orbital. Anyways, love them.
3) High Contrast ~ Semi-no surprise. One of my favorite songs of his repeated throughout that week: St Ives. Seriously. I LOVE THAT SONG. <333

top tracks overall
Woah, new song at the number one spot! King Of Snake (Ricks Bungalow Mix). Finally Deep Pan has been kicked off of the top spot. I've been waiting for this top list to be updated. Also St Ives has been rising too. Plus Dark And Long [Dark Train] has been rising too. I've been pretty much been nostalgic with this track. I remember listening to it on Musicmatch (back when it WASN'T acting wonky) and getting excited that it is being played. Back when I only knew a few songs by Underworld.

currently listening to
Dont Be Light
I don't have too many tracks of Air[/artist really. But this is a relaxing song.
Out of curiosity, what does 'Hz' stand for? Because it appears in this
Air album name. Plus "11 Hundred Hz" by Underworld. I know it's probably some measurement of something. But of what?

Funny that last.fm recommends this journal to me... only because I occasionally listen to Underworld :)

Hz is short for Hertz, a measurement for frequencies. A sonic wave with a frequency of 10000Hz can be heard by a normal human and is in the frequency range of cymbal instruments. 1100Hz is a normal musical tone frequency, some flutes can play it. Dunno why Underworld or AIR named them like this.

heh last.fm recommended this to me because AIR is one of my top recommended artists and gets mentioned... havn't listened to anything from them on my comp since i started using last.fm yet though.

Supposedly humans can hear in the range 16Hz-20kHz, although both ends of the scale can vary according to age, habits, and the weather (well... :P ).
