Well, I heard that the University of Helsinki is even cooler, isn’t it? I, too, didn’t get into the first uni I was applying to, but then it turned out for the better :) so yeah, good luck with the studies! :D Antemasque always reminds me of ATDI with a bit of Led Zeppelin XD Ced’s probably is getting old, too, so he’s now neck-deep in that oldschool rock XD I still hope they’ll revive TMV at some point, though T_T Hehehe, maybe Kyo’s in love, so he’s all happy and lovey-dovey XD let’s see how long it will last XD Yeah, I hope, DEG will get here too. it’s just unlikely when Kyo’s on a separate tour XD he could at least bring other band members along for a supporting act XD hahaha, true, Karasu is a plain failure XD speaking of, have you listened to the new MUCC album? I still haven’t, but my bro says he only liked 2 songs; others are just… no XD

aaaand sukekiyo starts touring pretty much right now XD we finally get to see Kyo, isn’t that exciting? :D Ah, I see. I somehow thought they only changed the sound =_= oh well, at least, it’s not Karasu XDD

Ah, I see! Good luck with all the stuff! Time of entrance examinations is pretty much the worst in the whole education process D: First uni examination is no piece of cake, either, but then you, at least, know where you belong D: Yeah, they have smth called Antemasque, and they even started touring! XD there was a backstage vid where Omar called Ced ‘baby.’ I almost cried XD Well, probably sukekiyo influences Kyo that way—he did mention that he used to be all depressed, but now he starts to grasp the beauty of the world or smth XD this is why sukekiyo’s sound is so light :) there’s still a long way to go for open-ness, but hey, he’s trying XD

well yeah, Diru really is complicated, one has to really live through them to understand and embrace. I think Mucc are just all pure emotions, you don’t need to be a music expert to live through them. it’s simple yet something you can relate or something XD or maybe b/c Tatsue is extroverted and open for everyone to see, judge, and feed on, and Kyo keeps to himself most of the time XD I resisted sukekiyo till the very end, but my bro literally shoved it in my face and ordered to listen XD I found it rather surprising. I mean, Diru are following the bushido of making everything more and more heavy and complicated, but sukekiyo is a bit like old GAUZE times, in the sense of pop-ness O_o looks like Kyo’s gone through the whole cycle and went back to the roots XD hehehe, I remember Ced throwing a tantrum over Omar’s new projects, like, “I’m not a prog rock housewife sitting at home and watching their partner go fuck other bands” XD but I thought sukekiyo consisted of Diru members? O_o

Hello! :D Long time indeed, but I do get you—studying is a pain in the arse (I still remember that XD). what are you studying btw, if you don’t mind my asking? :D few years usually matter in a young age, the younger—the worse D: but soon it gotta sort out, b/c ppl in their twenties usually start to find common ground and such. TMV haven’t reunited (yet XD) but have you heard? the two dummies (being Omar and Cedric, ofc.) finally settled whatever differences they had and started smth suspiciously resembling a lovechild of Led Zeppelin and At the Drive-In XD not remotely like TMV, but at least they are back together *ugly sobbing* right you are, and besides, ppl may be ordinary in some areas and shine in something else :D there’s a room for talent in everybody, and success hugely depends on whether you chose the best option ;D

Well, some ppl get there earlier, some later, some don’t get there at all, but this doesn’t mean you cannot find another equally cool thing to do that would suit you better than show biz, right? XD (that’s what I keep telling myself, at least XD) Agreed, Sustain the Untruth really is something :D I love how their music is so complicated, you can listen to different instruments, and each part is brilliant *__*as for the sounds, I actually quite like it when you need to unwind a whole music net to understand something Oo I haven’t actually done it so far, b/c for me, Diru’s music has this strange effect—they always need to grow on me, and I can hardly listen to the new material until at least a year passes from the release XDD even if I like it! I’ve no clue why it happens all the time, and never occurs with Mucc, for example XD

I hereby set a new record for lateness, so it’s fine XDD well yes, sometimes it takes time to get back to doing stuff together, so hope is never lost :) how old are your sisters, btw? Lonely gigs are only hard at first (like everything else, I suppose XD), but then it’s not even a big deal, once the anxiety goes away! and apart from full concentration, you get the chance to meet other ppl who actually share your tastes. b/c I think it’s generally harder to meet new ppl when you have someone with you already XD that’s what I experience every time I travel to the concerts abroad, b/c I am generally the only one who speaks half decent English among my friends, so it sort of cuts all the possibilities XD you know, I’ve heard some rumours that TMV can actually reunite *__* I so hope it’s true, b/c I don’t really like what Omar does now (esp. with Teri), and I do think he treated Cedric like shit. This seriously needs to stop XD

yup, the tickets are pretty expensive nowadays, especially if you’re going to see someone Japanese XD and they just won’t go to my city, which makes everything all the more troublesome XD exactly! but almost always it doesn’t feel good enough—as if you were supposed to experience some sort of revelation, but you just get a mere concert instead XD hehe, the Mars Volta did work at the stores, cleaning toilets or something XD they said, once they became famous enough to drop it, they were the happiest people on Earth XD Thanks! hehe, I mostly feel old each time my birthday comes XD like, I’m 21/22/23/24 already, and I still haven’t taken over the world, what is wrong with me XD sorry it took me so long to reply, I was travelling :)

this is just uncommon for Japan, but he can afford it, being all famous :) well, that’s right—we cannot choose our family, so if we happen to be related to someone who does not understand or is not even willing to understand their own kin, that’s really sad. I never felt that I’m anyhow obliged to do stuff with ppl only because they’re my relatives. in fact, I have a lot of relatives I have nothing in common with, and I avoid meeting them at all costs XD I think, if it clicks, it’s great, but this isn’t necessary. what really matters is if you’re surrounded by ppl you like, family or not. I mean, I’ve seen friendships much stronger than any family bond, so it’s different for everyone, I guess. being a loner sometimes helps, b/c you are fully concentrated on music and nothing distracts you :D some time ago I could never imagine going anywhere alone, but a couple of shows proved that I can actually do it XD

life is unfair, what can I say XDD but then again, if you want to go really badly, you might figure out a way—say, a Mucc and a RTS concert would be so worth any trouble XDD well, ofc, the musicians do need money, but the question is if the money is worth not being true to themselves D: one can earn money making crappy music, but I really doubt if that will still be their dream job. same goes to any creative profession, I think. hehe, no one said the RTS copycats were any good XDD they can try all they want, they’re not even close :D

exactly! he’s quite open with his feelings and opinions, he doesn’t really give a damn about politeness (when he can get away with it, lol), he’s wild and crazy and that’s what we love about him, right? :D yeah, I happen to have a very close bond with all of my siblings, not only when it comes to the music. sadly, this is a rare thing nowadays—most ppl can’t believe one can actually do things with their family if they don’t have to D: anyways, it’s not at all bad when you have friends for that XD (I don’t, for example XD) it usually helps if you have a spare day before the gig and a place to stay and sleep. but it’s costly, so we couldn’t afford it at this time of the year XD yeah, precisely! and when the concert starts, it usually takes more effort to enjoy it in full. sometimes the ‘feels’ are still there, but it’s really random, I still haven’t figured out the codependence (if it even exists).

it’s hard for me to suspect Tatsue’s jealous of them XD maybe he didn’t think of them, and I’ve never seen them on the same events, I doubt if they’re acquainted Oo I think Tatsue’s weird personality makes him more understandable for us Europeans XD ‘normal’ Japanese people are so freakishly different from us that an ‘unusual’ Japanese prolly deviates towards what we call normal XD I didn’t listen to Sigur Ros much before the concert, I tagged along with my brother XD I loved the show and the music, but I was so tired after the night bus and the day of walking that I didn’t enjoy it as much as I could D: you know, when everything on the show goes smoothly and you like it, but it sort of doesn’t go deep? it happens to me a lot, even if I’m quite into the artist D: maybe it’s b/c of Saturn being in retrograde or smth XD I haven’t seen mum, either D: I marked the gig as the one I’m interested in, but I had a lot of work to finish before going to Sigur Ros, so I had to choose X_x

yeah, this is why it’s hard to consider them musicians. they rather look like product sellers (which they eventually are) D: a friend told me about a band (I don’t recall the name, but it was some very respected experimental or progressive band, maybe other genre, but it’s hard to tell since I don’t remember XD) that gave up on their contract with the label so that they could do whatever they want and experiment however they like. I suppose, they don’t have a lot of money now, but they chose freedom over wealth, and this is truly remarkable and shows that their passion towards music comes first *_* Tatsue said, it’s rather new bands join labels too quickly, before they mature and create something unique, and after joining there’s almost no chance for them to become less trivial. XD vk’s become too popular, and we all know what comes out of it D: underground music is always much more sincere :( RTS even have copycats already, even though they’re relatively new XD

I remember Tatsue talking about this lack of originality. he said, the fans seem to want "whatever's popular", and the musicians go with that, and there’s no one for Mucc and Co. to feel threatened with. and I thought, wtf, what about Rin Toshite?? aren’t they original and high quality and not influenced by their record label? or is it b/c they’re not VK? I didn’t think it mattered so much, since Mucc’s VK-ness has always been questionable O_o yeah, it was “I am very pencil”, then he seemed to like the joke and repeated it a bazillion times XD I also have no idea what was that for, but I suspect it referred to his favourite T-shirt with pencils XD or maybe I’m wrong, but it’s hard to understand Tatsue, he’s just so unique XD maybe he can, but let’s have some faith in him XD haha, well, appearances are deceptive XD

exactly! even though the record label does have a certain influence on them (the manager can approve or disapprove what they compose), but they’re progressing with each album. there’s next to no bands that manage to remain this stable. (and Mucc are so not in the list, ugh.) hehe, yeah, it’s hard to call them fanboys XD seems that there’s a direct correlation between the quality of the music and the ‘quality’ of the fanbase. when I hear ppl talking about the Japanese music, they usually go like ‘Japan has excellent music… except jrock, of course’ XD b/c yes, most jrock bands are literally impossible to distinguish between. thankfully, we have some exceptions D: yeeeah, let’s not bring up their backstage vids XD b/c poor Yukke! I wonder how he’s been putting up with Tatsue for so long… and he even seems to be enjoying it! XD

    25. Nov. 2013 Antworten
  • e_nara

Yeah, Tatsue is on a different level—he may not look too handsome, but it makes him stand out. every time there’s a jrock event, there’s a bunch of similarly looking VK japs aaaand hey Tat-chan, I noticed you rightaway XD sometimes I read his tweets and then smile the entire evening :) I somehow don’t think it’s true. I mean, his recent lyrics make the impression that the worst problem he could face was the rejection of some woman. Ppl with such major health issues don’t usually sound like that. Maybe it’s a shallow judgment, but at least I’m optimistic XD btw, Ryuutarou wasn’t a popular guy on Tanuki, ppl say he has weird preferences XD hehe, I remember Yukke said he’d like to visit London again ;D YUKKE KNOWS SHIT

Mucc must have wanted money, so they invited smn big like Ken. Can’t blame them for that (who doesn’t, lol), but you’re right—the music’s become average D: Then again, we can’t say they’re too famous—Diru are way more well-known (and respected, if anything). And I don’t like Mucc’s recent teenage-girl-fanbase. Every time I watch the concerts, there’s hardly any male face in the crowd, as if it’s a Justin Bieber’s concert XD (however, it was the same with their early concerts XD prolly b/c at the time Tatsue wasn’t really fussy about the lyrics, like now. lots of ‘I love you so much’ and ‘I love only you’, lol). Not only makeup, he seems like quite a bully himself XD hehe, seems I got it right, even though I don’t know a thing about Gaze XD I don’t like too much fanservice either, it’s like they think we’re stupid to fall for smth so obviously fake D: and it’s not only about jrock :(
