Since I don't update often, I thought I'd take the time to say I love my last.fm account. I'm finding new music to listen to everyday because of it. I'm pushing to expand, in every direction, the amount of music I enjoy. Reggae, psychedelic, funky, jazzy... it's all just so good.

Okay, no more stereolab. sorry fans of stereolab, but they've clearly dominated my choice of music from the get go. I need more variety.

I'm reaching 60,000 tracks. I feel like I'm barely getting to hear music. every crate I dig through, bargain bin I turn inside out, odd phrase I might overhear in the wrong context, everywhere I found music.

huzzah. listen to kahimi karie and compare to mum.

I had to reformat my external harddrive that held 110gb worth of mp3s. I'm rebuilding slowly, only adding from the CDs I've recently gotten and downloading stuff I've never heard of. Might take me a week or two to get where I want to be

I keep coming across bands and groups that I had never heard of or seen. All Natural Lemon & Lime Flavors, truly great music. It came on as a random track and I was glued, I cannot stop listening to them. I have no idea who they are. But I deeply recommend them to everyone. If you like Olivia Tremor Control or Pink Floyd, you should definitely give this band a listen. If you have trouble finding the group, just contact me, I'll send you a song..... hell, I'll send you the album.
  • 30,000 tracks!!

    29. Sep. 2006, 22:49

I have played over 30,000 tracks over the course five months. I did the math... it's 6000 songs a month, 1400 a week, 200 per day, 8 songs in an hour. Now... considering the fact that the most overplayed song in my library was Olivia Tremor Control - Green Typewriters with 22 plays(there's like 12 different tracks on the same album by the same name, that's why it popped up so much), the simple fact remains that I rarely stopped to listen to the same band/group/artist for too long. I intend on constantly exploring this world of music. Nothing will stop me.

You have been warned. I want to reach 60,000 within 4 months.
