Me and My Big Mouth...

14. Dez. 2007, 2:00

Well seems it has gotten me into trouble.

In assisting inhocvince I managed to take on a challenge to listen to whatever aniaki suggested...

I was handed the artists similar to Britney Spears found here.

So beginning Sunday at 4AM Pacific Time that is what I'll be listening to... FOR A WEEK! (except for TNPHP time hopefully)

  • aniaki

Owned! Haha.. You can still listen to TNPHP on Thursday, I'm not that mean. Enjoy your week of listening to mostly female artists. Will be interesting to see which ones place 1-10 in your Top Weekly Artists.

Do you have the right to listen to something else at the same time? I suggest Sunn O))) or Merzbow at a very high volume, it should make the experience more enjoyable.

  • aniaki

Nope, no listening to other things at the same time. That's cheating.

  • redhalo

Yes, that would be cheating.... I won't do that!

Good luck then :) The good thing is your eclectism score will probably rise a bit, even if it's already pretty high (sorry, I'm a statistics addict.)

A cruel fate, redhalo! What did you do to deserve this??? I wouldn't mind hearing some of that music, like one track one at a time on the very odd occasion amidst a million other things, but to have to hear ONLY music similar to Britney Spears, aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!! It's a nightmare...

Maybe I can find you a loophole to minimise the pain! Is there any contractural stipulation that you must listen to ALL the artists? I would recommend singling out: Nelly Furtado Pink Fergie Black Eyed Peas The Corrs Cyndi Lauper Joss Stone Sheryl Crow Jewel Alanis Morissette t.A.T.u. Ah, yes, I could bear that radio station :)

but I'm gonna take my lumps. I got busted helping/assisting inhocvince in deciding what aniaki had to listen to exclusively for a week. Prior to that aniaki had challenged inhocvince to spend a complete week sans David Bowie, and if you know inhocvince you'll know how much he ♥'s his Bowie. So as I'm listening to similar artists to BS, aniaki will be listing to this. I'll use this journal as a sanctuary to blurt out any anxiety during the week.

If you really don't like something, skip it. I think I might check it out today, even I probably wouldn't listen to everything and I like Britney.

Does watching Chris Crocker on youtube give you extra cred? ;)

    Nope to Chris Crocker.

I think Lee has it worse. Atleast you could listen to other stuff you liked besides Bowie.

I'm noticing a decided LACK of anxiety blurting here. Can this possibly mean that you're actually diggin' Brit-similars? When does this worse-than-death-sentence expire anyway?

3:59:9999AM PST Sunday precisely. I'm digging some of it. Sorry for the lack of anxiety, it's not as bad as I had thought it would be. Been short spurting it, so.... palatable.

to see the numbers. Since I've been playing Sarah McLachlan, Cher, Jewel, Celine Dion, P!nk, BSB, Janet Jackson (and her bro Mikey), Toni Braxton and Alanis Morissette from my personal collection mixed with the Spears Similar Artists Radio they will be my Weekly Top Artist list on Sunday. Thanks for the experience aniaki! Still not my fave genre, but I've appreciated having listened to stuff I would have turned my nose up at normally.

Hey hey Lee. I see you are listening to your own music now. I bet you are glad the week is over. I'm really proud of you for sticking it thru, most people would have thrown in the towel after afew days. Last week was the same for me, I listened to artists that I would not have in the past and I really liked them. I guess we've both learnt not to dismiss something without giving it a listen first.
