You're right on about Eingya's warmth - even Matt Woodson's cover art affirms that. Caesura's beauty struck me as I drove through the Rocky mountains at the end of January - it's beautiful, magnificent in its icy sonic soundscapes. I like Kenniff's folkier acoustic stuff, although it's a bit odd not to associate him with his idm and post-rock styles. I though Ayres was interesting, especially his cover of "In Heaven" from Eraserhead.

I thought it rivaled and in many ways surpassed Eingya, simply through the abundance of similarly organic and synthetic compositions paired with a much stronger B side. Here's a review I wrote earlier this year if you're interested. I've got Kenniff's Transmitted Vibrations of Any Frequency I&II if you don't - it's actually my favorite of his works, and it features a few early renditions of material he used on subsequent albums like Eingya and even Caesura. Are you into Kenniff's Goldmund stuff as well?

O Canada... I spent last summer there, so beautiful! Besides, you've got some pretty cool bands, A Silver Mt Zion,GYBE, The Weakerthans, Embassies of Denmark, Shotmaker... You can check some Spanish bands if you want to: Maple, Corea, Zeidun... I think you could like them!
