I am not sure, but do you HAVE to decide what you want to do for the rest of your life? Can't you just try out what you feel like at the moment, find yourself and gather experiences? I think so too! Fortunately I knew exactly what I wanted to study and I haven't regretted my decision once...interpretation is my passion (: What do you work BTW? You don't have to tell me if it's too personal for you. Uh, I think it's never too late to learn languages! I started to learn English when I was 12 and French when I was 21 only ;-) It works best when you find something you are actually interested in, like listening to songs in a foreign language, or watching foreign movies with subtitles...

Did you mean you have the motivation to go back to school or to work? (Or possibly both?) I think so too...even if we have no idea why the fuck something happens it mostly makes a whole lot of sense in the end. I am studying to become an interpreter/a language tutor/proofreader etc. etc.

I am sorry to hear! No, you are mistaken actually. I missed out on the midterms last week because I went to Canada, so I explicitly asked the teacher if I could retake them on Monday, so I made an effort so I could redo them. I'm actually pretty good at school and trying to finish it so I can finally get my degree and work. I actually have a really bad fever... What about you, are you still in school?

Sorry, I didn't want to make you feel uncomfortable or anything ;-) You come across as a smart person (I also happen to like idioms, so yay) and although living with ignorance is probably easier because brains are viewed as an obstacle by many, I'd rather not be one of those people who have no real aims but the ones they see on TV... And I am happy right now, even though I've got the flu, which I am sitting in front of the computer, being bored out of my mind! What about you?
