    check out Akron/Family. They're pretty damn weird, especially the older stuff. but their latest two albums or so are like a mix of Animal Collective and Fang Island, it's really cool

    the new album (The Bride Screamed Murder) is really good, as are Stoner Witch and Electroretard. The newer stuff is more sludgy/stoner metal and the older stuff is more hardcore punk/grunge. Houdini, Bullhead, and Hostile Ambient Takeover are all very good as well. ps, Boris got their name from a Melvins song

    glad to see the sword on your playlist, saw them in Portland last weekend. make sure to grab both age on winters and gods of the earth, both are really good stoner/doom records. also, you really ought to listen to Melvins. music is awesome and their influence to metal and grunge is without question

I'm a graduate student at an alum of the University of Washington in Seattle studying where I studied aerospace engineering. Currently living and working in Los Angeles. Vinyl is pretty sweet.
