Über mich
I am a student at Bonn University. My major is American literature and linguistics and my minors are philosophy and computerlinguistics. The following is a short chronology of music that got a hold on me:
-Abba
the only pop music my parents heard as far as I can re-account
-The Bee Gees
at the age of seven: I had to have all of their CDs...on tape you know:)
-Roxette
as soon as I had a radio the jockey made me think I would like them a lot
-Abstürzende Brieftauben
during my first 4 years of school I put on the attitude that life shouldn't be wasted with working. This German punk band helped me to put my lazyness into words.
-Die Ärzte
When I saw the back side of THIS booklet (Bestie in Menschengestalt)I knew what it was all about :)
-Queen
I loved Highlander I and II and so I got to hear Queen. Freddy and Bryan have just a feeling for the right hook. You cannot avoid to have their songs on your mind allday once heard in the morning. It is just a great band with spirit - a lot of spirit.
-The Offspring
Rock, Rock hard, be hard. The most precious memory I connect to Smash is me and my friends camping on a football field in november. Being drunk rocks ppl!
-Metallica
God, I still lov'em. "...And justice for all" still gives me the shivers only good music brings. LET ALL HYPOCRITES BURN AND SING ROLF ZUCKOWSKY !!
-<Insert metal band name>
School ended with a lot of metal for me. Metallica somehow pointed me the way and so I heard a tremendous amount of this, after all, monotonous music. Rage, Sentenced, Iced Earth, Suidakra, Dissection, Celestial Seasons, Judas Priest, Megadeath and In Flames are those that I can remember without digging to deep in the box of memories.
-Fuel
As I got older my taste in music of course consumed more time in daily life and so Fuel, again, is only one to stand for a bunch of bands that helped me to overcome metal. It wasn't only alternative rock bands but basically...wait. No it was only alternative that helped me - you know, System of a down and bands alike.
Now I am tired. The chronology will be continued.
