I think Alèmayèhu Eshèté copies the grunting from James Brown, actually, which makes it the most comprehensible part of Tchero Adari Nègn for me.

Funny how you mention the Alemayehu Eshete seems random; one of the things I really like about his voice is that he sings so clearly it's as if I can understand the words without understanding the language. Do you have Mind Your Own Business? It's a completely different style, but I think the energy matches.

Über mich

I pick my music song by song, not by artist. As a result, my collection contains many artists of different genres, but generally only a couple songs for each artist. So my top artists section is really who sings the songs that I've played 100+ times. I also usually find awesome and original melodies of more importance than clever lyrics. Unless the lyrics tell a story.

I'm also a passive listener. As you might be able to tell from how my tracks are Scrobbled, I almost exclusively listen to music on my iPod. Mostly I just want to block out the world during my commute. I don't go to concerts and I usually listen to white noise when studying, if anything.
