Yeeeah...I had some mushy love stuff going on lately and Sebadoh is just the thing for it...but it's good it's them...used to put on Jandek/Swans/Grouper and just lied in bed depressed when so...aaand that just wasn't very healthy. At least Sebadoh is...energetic.

I'm always changing :D..., as for the name; I like that goofy-pedo M.Gira song, it's a funny one. What have you been listening to lately, found anything good?

Hey dear Kevin, I am fine!!! Thanks for asking, how are things over the ocean and how is your new band doing and the screenplay? Good to hear from you :) I have been working much with the band in winter and we have had a nice test-gig in Feb. Now we are working on a setlist for acoustic gigs to have more opportunities to play in smaller places too for the start and I am glad everything works out as we planned, at least so far ;). Seen Trail Of Dead recently and it was magical, loud and perfect with a very nice opening act which I didn't know yet, The Coathangers who really rocked. I am still working in the Museum and now I am also doing translations for an Oldtimer magazine from the UK which appears in Germany too. This is fun even without a driving licence and this month I will have an interview at another Museum. For which kind of job they could not really tell me. Mysterious :). I don't need another security job, already got one ;) Hope all is well! Greetings from yours N.

Thing have been ok/good. Been kayaking, bike-riding and walking all summer and am up to 53 hours of work at fun fun fun. lol. Looking forward to getting away for a few days UP Michigan and at the end of Sept going to do my first century bike ride (I'm doing the euro version = 67 miles, not the actual 100. lol). Have you seen Kwaidan (probably). Into Japanese films lately. Any recommendations? Also loved Ugetsu.

To steal from David Sylvian - "September's here again..." Hope things are going well. Looking forward to whenever fall actually begins to feel life fall.

Cool that you are getting a band together again. I need an outlet like that. Unfortunately, I only sing really well with no-one around...or maybe with booze. Watched "Night of the Iguana" again the other night...not really a cult movie but awesome. Also, you're making me think I need to get a needle for my LP player...I don't even know where to get one anymore! Enjoy your memorial day weekend. I am working like a dog (as usual) today.

Howdy, Trix (my alter ego), seems to be well. Actually, just the usual going on here, work and limited hi-jinks. What about you? Any decent new or forgotten music you've gotten into recently?

It's sunny here and I have just had my birthday on Monday (presents, yay :)). Currently listening to Mulatu Astatke for brass inspiration. Also I am absolutely overwhelmed by a cool book I am currently reading (if you say, Naomi Klein writes capitalism critique from a journalistic point of view - The Shock Doctrine was a revelation to me - this book is written from a more theoretical point of view, more academic but also very, very cool and gives me food for thought which I have missed for some time. The authors are a professor of theoretical chemistry and a great author and former music- journalist and they write about social progress (it's called "Der Implex"). Also I have just read a wonderful romantic book for a review which is called "Black Jesus" (by Simone Felice), which was a good read, like a great, intense and emotional song. Oh,thanks for dropping by and leaving me a note, Kevin :)This always makes me happy! Take care and have a wonderful weekend, Yours friend Nadja

Yay :) A new band, cool!!! I have a new job as a ward in a museum starting next week. Probably I can also work as a part-time secretary in my boyfriend's architect's office soon (only once a week and only until "Emma" pays ;) ). We still work on getting the band onstage. I have no doubt it will be good when we have our first gigs but now it's: finding an additional backing vocal, a live-piano player (maybe one person who can do both) and for some songs working with a small brass section (we have one saxophone player, but he has other bands too). Due to many organisational problems this all takes longer than we thought (also, we are writing new songs) and at least two members of the band had much stress recently due to a lack of time, money and urgent family issues... (not me, I am impatient and I get on the other ones' nerves :D which I have to stop doing ;)) That's life. I don't have as much responsibility as the others. But we feel, we are getting somewhere and we will not stop :) :D

I liked Zeena's character more, she is more of a Tom Waits-song-character to me, tragic but good on the inside, although they are all "lost innocence"...I mean, Molly is just too much of a "naive good girl" to me in this purgatory but of course she looks gorgeous (plus: I like this thunderbolt-electric-superwoman-pic) and her character is needed to provide the foil for his descent. Your avatar is gorgeous of course :D. I really like the metaphors for showbusiness in Nightmare Alley which somehow seem to tell a tale about capitalism gone mad too. Much greatness in this movie! I love the cast too!!! If I can get hold of the book I will read it :)
