    Last night I taped an italian post-rock band with my home made mics; I've to say the results are pretty impressive considering I spent less than 15€ (+ salvaging some elements from tech devices already deceaded) to build them :-) happy!

    Hey, thanks for replying! Really appreciated :-) You spent no word on your Sony, though: is it good as well? As for my own equipment, after taping with my Zoom H2 and its internal mics for almost a year now, I finally decided to move on external mics. I'm assembling the mics by myself: I don't know if I'll be successful but the overall cost is definitely worth trying.

    I saw on the Julian Plenti event page you're taping the show. I was about to ask what equipment you use but, with a quick glance at your website, I realized you're far better equipped than I am :-) Do the Audio Technica mics work better than your Sony? That's the impression I got judging from the tons of recordings made with AT831B. Or is it just a matter of stealth recording?
