I believe that reality is stranger than fiction, music is the best expression of feeling and art is the language of life.

I'm an open minded skeptic, psychonaut and wanna-be artist.

Below are some quotes I like... I had names to go with them but thought it rather silly that the comments people made were often about the assortment of people the quotes came from and not the actual quotes themselves, so I've done away with the names to ensure people see the words for what they are and nobody mistakes the point of it for a list of names that some people seem to have trouble seeing past.

we simplify to others what we can't explain
and to ourselves what we can't understand

People make daydreaming difficult;
you never know when they'll interrupt.

there's nothing to fear but fear itself,
for if anything ever keeps you from the highs of life;
it will be your fear of its lows

I think it's much more interesting to live not knowing than to have answers which might be wrong.

Most people prefer a problem they can't solve to a solution they don't like

Not everything that counts can be counted, and not everything that can be counted counts.

Your living is determined not so much by what life brings to you as by the attitude you bring to life;
not so much by what happens to you as by the way your mind looks at what happens.

Time you enjoy wasting, was not wasted.

Life is like music for its own sake. We are living in an eternal now, and when we listen to music we are not listening to the past, we are not listening to the future, we are listening to an expanded present.

Yesterday is but today's memory, and tomorrow is today's dream.

Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Man's mind, once stretched by a new idea, never regains its original dimensions.

Imagination will often carry us to worlds that never were
but without it, we go nowhere.

Since wars begin in the minds of men,
it is in the minds of men that the defenses of peace must be constructed.

A man who views the world the same at fifty as he did at twenty has wasted thirty years of his life.

The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift. We will not solve the problems of the world from the same level of thinking we were at when we created them. More than anything else, this new century demands new thinking: We must change our materially based analyses of the world around us to include broader, more multidimensional perspectives.

A little knowledge that acts is worth infinitely more than much knowledge that is idle

Science is the belief in the ignorance of experts

If you don't know where you are going, any road will get you there

Be the change you wish to see in the world

Generosity is not giving me that which I need more than you do,
but it is giving me that which you need more than I do.

If the other person injures you, you may forget the injury; but if you injure him you will always remember.

It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.

Remember the past, plan for the future, but live for today, because yesterday is gone and tomorrow may never come.

A man is the sum of his actions,
of what he has done,
of what he can do,
nothing else.

Fiction reveals truths that reality obscures.

Exaggeration is truth that has lost its temper.

The man who comes back through the Door in the Wall will never be quite the same as the man who went out. He will be wiser but less sure, happier but less self-satisfied, humbler in acknowledging his ignorance yet better equipped to understand the relationship of words to things, of systematic reasoning to the unfathomable mystery which it tries, forever vainly, to comprehend

Trust in dreams, for in them is hidden the gate to eternity.

The teacher who is indeed wise does not bid you to enter the house of his wisdom but rather leads you to the threshold of your mind.

My role in society, or any artist's or poet's role, is to try and express what we all feel. Not to tell people how to feel. Not as a preacher, not as a leader, but as a reflection of us all.

Music is everybody's possession.
It's only publishers who think that people own it.

I'm not arguing, I'm just trying to enlighten you!

Yes, I have a lot of playlists. No, most of don't have much on them. The ones with enough music to enjoy listening to are the ones to check out, the others should be left for when they've got more, which they eventually should.
