Oh, and can I just mention how impressed I am that your top 50 is 100% female vocalists, and they're still a crushing majority in the rest? Because that's way cool!

Scratch that, somebody seriously voted for the Spice Girls as best female artists of all time. What is this I don't even

Re: VH1, right now it seems to be a deluge of Madonna and Whitney Houston voters (though somebody picked Lil' Kim for all time - WTF?!), but when I did that it was much worse. I even snarked a bit on FB that there's nothing more depressing than seeing people actually voting Katy Perry the greatest female artist of all time, combined with the lack of Joni Mitchell and others. I voted Tori for All Time, 90s and Pop (she, PJ Harvey, Liz Phair, Shirley Manson and *Courtney Love* were eligible for pop despite *not* being pop... que?), Kim Deal for 80s (their chronology is wrong though, Kim didn't start a non-Pixies career until 1990), PJ Harvey for Rock (this was kinda harder, it was either her, Liz or Shirley) and Lauryn Hill for R&B, mostly because I remembered her song "That Thing" and I have the Fugees' album. Oh, word. Massive word. Shirley Manson and Joan Jett exposure at an early age prevented me from ever developing a stupid idea that women were somehow unable to "rock".

Hey, Michelle! What a coincidence, I was planning on saying hi first but you beat me to it! :D Yep, right now I'm back at university, and my course finishes next year, so I'm also supposed to start worrying about that too... oh, geez, sorry to hear things are going so bad, and I can't really help with anything... geography making it worse too? Yes, after failing to get anything done on the holiday, I got EROTA back on track, and I almost finished a new one. Still want me to send it/them, or are you too busy right now? 'cos I don't wanna make things worse.

Is St. Vincent's tour coming to your area? I'm seeing her at the end of May; I'm really excited.

I apologize also. I really wasn't as angry as I sounded. Nowhere near it in fact. But, seriously, you should watch the video I posted on Aimee's page because it is probably one of the funniest things you'll ever see. :)

is what I don't want lol I'm trying to write, but I have that problem with making things blend and be smooth. I write when I feel inspired and sometimes what I write it has nothing to do with the story I'm writing. i have a few ideas but my grammar is horrid! I need to improve is there any books that you prefer to help me? I was thinking of getting one of the dummies books. I love Flo! And her new album is great! Tickets for her Milwaukee show when on sale today I wish I could afford them. If I get any taxes back and I can find ticket's I'm going to go! :D My friend saw her in July and she said she was great. I just don't understand why she's not coming back to Chicago, it's so lame! I finished Reading The Woman In Black, have you read it? I think I am going to see the movie next week. i'm not sure if my mom is actually going to come with or it, she says she wants to, but if you are up to it let me know. I still owe you from the parade. So if you want to go we can see that and i can

Yeah, I finally listened to her for the first time yesterday and I do like her! I like Dark Paradise right now. I didn't hear about SNL lol I've been so out of the loop all I have been doing is reading, tumblr, and going to work. I know the market is still shit and I'm not sure if I felt any better after hearing Obama, well mostly the part about the student loans. I just wish I could move out of the state, that's the only good thing about Target is that I can find position available throughout the country and if I can get it I can move there. But I have no way to afford to live on my own. I heard a while ago that Chicago is the 4th city throughout the world that economy is powerful, well that can explain why it's shit in jobs around here. I guess I can try and apply again to another government job but I know we are in such debt still that it may be hard to find one there too. Amy is lucky being able to find what she wants. I'm not jealous I clearly don't know what I want all I know

* These "Goddesses of Music" include female artists that have had a profound influence on me, mostly due to the content of their lyrics. I'm not saying that these are the ultimate goddesses of music, they are just my personal ones. Anyone can see that I love many female artists, but these women have had to most impact on me personally. I've gotten so many messages on here from people who were upset that their favorite female artists were not on my list. These are MY goddesses not THE goddesses lol.
