Wed 21 Oct – Black Stone Cherry, The Parlor Mob, Duff McKagan's Loaded

pretty good gig I must say, a few dissapointments throughout the night but Black stone Cherry soon surpassed any of these

First dissapointment of the night was a no show from Parlour Mob. No explanation for it either, so a little bad as I was looking forward to seeing them after heaing ma good things about them. If anyone could shed light on why they didnt appear would be brilliant.

Anyhow now Loaded were on, surprisingly Duff was on guitar at the begining if i remember right.. or maybe that was the beers talking! now sadly im going to have to say they sounded better on CD than live although this may be down to technicall problems as there appeared to be a problem with the sound tech, and also it appeared that guitarst Mike Squires had a few problems with his guitarists, but if he did he handled these so well it surley makes im the man of the hour in my opinion. some really good work from him too. pausing only to share a shamefully bad Joke Duf andCo. soldiered on playing an acceptable set. Not quite a stand alone band yet in my opinion but none theless a good solid band garunteed to give you a good nights music

Now Black Stone Cherry are something else. The O2 was packed full with the crowd baying for Black Stone Cherry, expecting an unbelivable set and this Black Stone Cherry brought most definetly. Each song was hit out perfectly one after the other. One amusing highlight was the doughnuts! A dozen doughnuts were thrown out to the crowd drawing mirth and Laughter from all. Two very special treats from them however were the songs Sweet Home Alabama by you know who :P and then a ZZ Tong - Just got paid - if im not wrong. these were real treats in my opinion, and then the set thundered on demolishing the O2 piece by piece. and then to finally top it off at the en They annonced they would happily meet and greet any fans who wanted to by the merch stand. Surely this must be one of the most fan friendly bands around? It wont be long untill we see them headlining large stadiums and festivels Me thinks
