I've played a live gig like that before. Band member couldn't hear the backtracked drums so was way off, causing the rest of band to be off time. I could hear it though hahah, fortunatly I was extremely drunk. I can't even begin to imagine how it must have felt in front of millions of people. Oh yeah don't worry about that, I actually remember Astro Creep coming out, I got it on tape...now that makes me feel hella old :p

i have to agree with you, ebm/industrial is meant to be aggressive and 'depressing' not some poppy shit. i guess all these artists you mentioned forgot about that and let their current life events influence their music. they should've kept the healthy balance, maybe record some cheesy stuff and then go back to normal. we both know that every album has 'that one song' not fitting the rest. i think the only artist who kept it real is Unter Null but i haven't heard her new album yet so i can't tell. even her side project Stray synchronized with the other (even though was more sobby). who, Reagan? he seemed to be a pretty hardcore christan since the day one...

Hahah oh yeah I vaguely remember writing that :D I never seen him live, I almost went to see that twins of evil tour with Manson he did when they came to London, but i'd just seen Manson literally like 2 months earlier so flagged it. But yeah did you see the White Zombie performance on MTV awards 1995? Must have been so humiliating

also he promotes his wife too much, swear to god she was already in like all his videos, whereas Tim gets no recognition. you can always block his page so it won't pop up on your newsfeed, simple. want a detailed instruction with pictures and writing?

wouldn't expect a grown ass person to act like a butthurt 12 year old, that's all. he gets shit loads of negative feedback on his music already. i don't understand why people must show how much they dislike something instead of keeping it to themselves and ignore that thing. i think NR was decent compared to what he's making now. i defend him because well i'm his fan yes? and it's a normal reaction, i bet you would do the same if any of your favorite bands got shit thrown at them. he clearly said he will not make the same music as he did while back because he changed. as you might be aware his old stuff is all about negative events in life. he isnt as negative as he used to be, i think thats a good thing isn't it? i mean you can't go on and on crying and whinning about life and people who betrayed you. not gonna lie i'm happy about his 'personal change' but i would love if it didn't have any influence on his music.

oh and also if he kept making the same music you'd be the first to moan on his fb and last fm. you can never satisfy people, ever.

never said i enjoyed his new stuff, it's like 2/10, his attempts to reanimate NR are a fail but i don't understand people who need to post stupid comments on his page slagging him off. it's nice to see them humiliating themselves in front of thousands of people though. 'an ex fan of yours' are you like 12? cute one, you added me on here complimenting my music taste and now bash me? awwww <3

Speaking of mania she does give off the vibe of in fact being bipolar as well, I could name a number of things she has done, but just a couple like randomly deleting completed songs from the new album, to vowing not to release a single track early for the album then of course putting out the single she just put out. She has more members in her band now which is a double edge sword as well. So going off of all that plus actually hearing mania I am not as hyped for the new album as I was before, but I don't think it will be a total train wreck like say angelspit's newest album. Then again who knows, worst case scenario the first album will always be a classic, potentially we could be in for a real treat as maybe mania turns out to be one of the weaker songs on the album and the best is yet to come. And I'm sorry for the wall of text, I tend to go author mode when it comes to typing out my thoughts. On the plus side I at least try to bring up enough interesting points worthy of thought.

She has mentioned having a heart attack and I take that as she probably OD'd on something (speed) for one comes to mind. She has gone out of her way to avoid many drug references on the new album giving off the vibes of someone that has changed their stance on doing drugs whether that be because she's choosing not to do them now or perhaps being forced to stay away from them. She may have actually played a big role on the first album as drugs can bring out some of the best and most creative ideas a person can ever experience, just not everyone is able to actually compose those great thoughts into something marketable. So I could believe she put together the first album drugged up out of her mind and through ben's help she was able to construct the chaotic awesomeness that was the first album. She seems to be drinking more heavily now, as if the extra alcohol will fill a void left behind by the drugs which may be her down fall as overall drinking will kill your creativity flat.

While not a facebook user myself, I'll lurk an artist's band page for news and what not assuming it's one of those bands that speak there more than their own real website and from what I can tell precious isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, at least based on the way she speaks and what she talks about. She also had mentioned she considers this second album to be her real debut album which is a silly thing to say based on how great and unique her real first album actually was. Which would lead me to believe either perhaps she was just the voice and all the creativity as far as beats and actual lyric writing was done by the other guy or if that is not the case then she is doing her best to distance herself from certain subject matters of the first album with out actually letting go of the band name and identity she has already made as not to mess with her current fan base and image.

Overall I would say mania is kind of weak as well, although the subject matter of the song is quite interesting, at least if you have or know someone with bipolar disorder. Mania can indeed be described as beautiful if your the one experiencing it, but if your watching some one else go through it can be chaotic to down right scary depending on who the person is :P. That said the lyrics are a bit weak bordering on almost cliche which is a surprise given how in your face and catchy the lyrics were overall on the first album. The beats and sound of the song as well feels a lot tamer and weak as well. The irony being there were quite a few songs on the first album that were chaotic enough in sound alone that would represent the state of mania far better than the actual song mania is doing atm. Perhaps her old band member was responsible for the great sounds of the first album, wouldn't surprise me although I think a number of factors are at play atm.
