Los Crudos is bad ass fuckin tunes right there, thats a great spark! i personally want to in the future have a toxic narcotic, infest, capitalist casualties,a global threat sounding band. bring the crust punk and street punk influences together since there's definetly not enough of that. but for now and hopefully til i'm old my band The Cheated is keeping that fast oldschool 80's sound alive, eveyone loves that shit. i know i do xP

We'll see what happens but if I do end up finding people for this project then I would really love to play guitar, not drums, for this. I really don't think I have enough skill to take on hardcore punk. First I would have to learn how to play guitar haha. It shouldn't be too hard, being that it's punk but some experience would be great.

We're basically broken up already cuz we don't practice anymore & none of us ever have time to dedicate to the band, being that we're all in college. I was talking to the vox of my band about just playing one show & call it quits to make it feel worth the time we put into writing these songs. Sort of bust a Self Destruct & break-up after a few shows, you know. We're still sort of deciding whether or not to do this & talking to the rest of the members. My idea is to have 5 written songs, play one cover & then officially call it quits. I've been wanting to start another band back in L.A., probably something between hardcore punk like Los Crudos, Youth Against, Venganza, E150, La Grita kinda stuff. Spanish spoken hardcore punk. I'm very influenced by those bands & that subgenre & have been wanting to start something like this for a loooong time now.

fuck sorry took ages for me to get back 2 ya, 2jobs blooowwws. but hey thats some good sounding shit man! who knows one of these time if ur band is playing a show in LA county not too too far a show could kick off and we could join in the mess of it. we actually just played our first show with me as their new drummer and it went great other than the hippie ass coffee shop store owners cutting our power cuz of the bands old fans, you'd think they'd be allowed to pit but all i gotta say is fuck the coffee klatch. haha hit up any good shows lately??

Niice! That's "Sounds of Failure Sounds of Hope". I've only heard a few songs from that album but I'm definitely familiar with it. How did you get it for $4? & I'm not too familiar w/Rodent Popsicle but if I'm not mistaken, is that someone from Toxic Narcotic/MSS's record label? The bands that I know are pretty legit but not familiar w/all of the bands signed to that. I should probably check it out. Here are the only two songs recorded: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5eSIyfzMDnk and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IvitLY7yGL0&feature=related The drums recorded for these songs did not include me because I was out of the band during this time because we were a Santa Cruz band & I was back in L.A. at the time but I was there during the writing process of these songs.

well to be honest im not 100% sure if they started off dr.strange & i cant recall the name but the cd i just picked up for 4 bucks by the voids with 'bad dreams' on it is signed by dr.strange aswell as late government issue stuff. huh, ill be sure to check some of those labels out aswell, my favorite lately has to be rodent popsicle, delicious bands on the label. but Heyyy what a coinsidence, i'm a drummer aswell(thats me on the profile picture haha) but yeah ive had a few bands but just recently joined a new one called 'The Cheated' but my old ska-punk band was called 'Living Dissent', no bad tunes but the singer was a bitch. but if you wanna check it out for no good reason aha living dissent's got old shit on youtube aswell as the cheated but there old drummer is in those videos. Hey effort is everything, as long as you got heart the rest comes after. x)

The Voids were originally signed to Dr. Strange? I know their second full-length was in Dr. Strange's label but didn't know they were signed with them from the start. I also didn't know about Government Issue being signed with them. Those are both some pretty badass bands on that label. I should probably check out the other bands that have been signed to that label. So far the top labels that I keep up with are: Lengua Armada, Punkcore, Silenzio Statico & To Live A Lie. A huge majority of the bands that come out (or have come out) from those labels are just phenomenal. & I have been in a band for a short while but it's sort of dead now. I play drums but I'm not so good but try my best haha. Are you in a band? If so, what do you play?

damn that sounds like a fucked situation x( but yeah man subhumans, citizen fish GOD! damn great shit right there, im into'em as well. but yeah i just found out the voids were originally signed to dr. strange records aswell as late government issue i think. you'd be surprised what bands have hopped on their label. but yeah aye so u play an instrument or have a band by chance?

I remember that show. The Casualties also played w/MSS in L.A. at the Key Club but I remember me & my other friend not wanting to go cuz it was on a Thursday haha. So we decided to go to the Pomona show, on Friday (which is the one you mentioned), but our ride flaked on us all last minute. If it weren't for that then I would've seen MSS & The Casualties for the fifth time, sucked big time. I would've also loved to hear some Toxic Narcotic! Subhumans are also one of those bands to see before you die. I'm really into them & everything Dick Lucas has come out with. He never disappoints. & I'll try to look into other buses besides the Metro to get me to Dr. Strange. I've really heard some great things from that place.

damn thats cool! i hope i get to be4 i die aha, but thats weird you say that cuz 2 years back i saw MSS with the original krum bums, destrustive bastards, and the casualties at the glasshouse, its was extra great cuz not saying i dont love there ska shit(which i do ofcourse!) but they played all their fastest & best songs as well as a few toxic narcotic songs including asshole xD one of my favorite line-ups/shows i got to go to. NiCe i heard that echo show got down, aha me also same line up with all or nothing hardcore great fucking line up to say the least. yeah the buses are hard to figure out. best bet would be go online and see if u can find a bus that goes from puente to covina or azusa and then there should be either a foothill transit that can take you to rancho or maybe even an omni trans. damn, yeah so i've heard a bunch of big underground names&bands pop up there, alot of good bands are actually signed to their label as well so its a great whole fucking little entity. haha

I've actually seen Leftover Crack. They're pretty sick. Definitely a band to see before you die. Toxic Narcotic is also pretty badass. I've been wanting to see Mouth Sewn Shut but I don't think that's ever going to happen since members of that band formed Opposition Rising. Not too sure if Mouth Sewn Shut broke up or if Opposition Rising is just a side-project but I haven't heard anything from MSS lately. I also got to see Subhumans in their last tour but at the Echo in L.A. Pretty awesome seeing them w/Naked Aggression & M.D.C. & I'll keep that whole Dr. Strange thing on mind. It's just almost impossible to get there in the Metro bus. I wanted to go there when Steve Lake (of Zounds) made an appearance but was so bummed when I couldn't find any buses to get there.

But yes i will say that if you do come out to rancho anytime bring as much money as you can cuz they have an insane selection off nearly any band hardcorepunk wise you can think of, and then some. aswell as everything else you probabily already know about so yeah. despite the rich kids and nothing to do really the punks are few and all spread out cuz rancho's fucking huge but dr. strange is home enough. its worth it if you're bored enough to take the mission but make sure u bring a board or a bike cuz its miles in between anywhere here haha and bringin some homies never hurts.

yeah man i get you completely, i was fucking devastated to find out my 1st night going to the showcase when i was 15 that a week later it would be closing down for good. the one show i wouldve killed my own father(not saying much really) to go see that i missed a year prior was leftover crack and toxic narcotic, 2 of my favorite bands. one of my old friends went and said it had been the craziest show he'd ever been to. the same situation really for me aswell, no money at all for shows, no dependable ride, and worst of all my parents are mormons so punk rock is near the same as satanism to them >x( it mattered less and less as time went on back then but missin out on the showcase's best when nearly all my favorite bands played in it's last few months fucking KILLED me but hey shit happens i do my best now aswell. didnt miss subhumans and MDC or Crass so lately thats been keeping missing out of my mind.. kinda why does that glasshouse have to be bitches about everything?!?! that blows!

Well in Pico there's usually not too many shows out here but when there are some, they are pretty awesome. & I heard that The Glasshouse is going to stop having punk shows little by little after Gnarmageddon. Supposedly there were too many problems that night which made the owner of the venue come up w/ this. As for Rancho Cucamonga, I've been wanting to go there to check out Dr. Strange Records. I've heard it's pretty legit as well. Sucks to have a scene filled w/rich kids & shitty bands haha.
