Two things today that have put a huge grin on my face and made me laugh out loud, subsequently causing people to move seats away from me in the bus station. (Apart from that slightly dazed looking homeless bloke who was grinning along with me.)

Dane Cook is… eh, rocky hand motion. He's amusing because he's brash and loud and blokey, but that's what makes him annoying. Boy seems too pleased with himself. But still, inexplicably, when I reach the "jelly" portion I could not stop myself from laughing - I attempted to bottle it, y'know, the move where you squeeze your mouth together, but all you end up with is this manic gleam in your eye and a weird closed-mouth grin. Then I attempted the fake-yawn-hiding-it-with-your-hand trick, but that was a bust. And after that a "bout of coughing" and the desperation of "biting lip until it bleeds". I finally gave up, because it turned into the wonder that is laughing-because-you-can't-stop-yourself-from-laughing, which almost everyone's got in trouble with a teacher for. (2000, Art, Mr Hampson.) Right?

The verses are fairly good, but it's the crappy backing muzak and how "livin' like john travolta" fits so beautifully into "livin' la vida loca". That, and after a while "john travolta" becomes one of those phrases that no longer makes sense because you've said it too many times. Like "schnitzel", or "Egypt".
