I maintain that the soundtrack to Samurai Champloo is the best one I have ever listened to. *__________________* I love every song on this album but one, where the old woman is singing.

Also, I need to listen to The Avalanches more. Their type of music suits my tastes just fiiiiiiiiiiiine.
• Eternal. Soundtracks. Yes.

Before heading out for food, I have to say? Usually, when I buy a soundtrack, there are 1-5 songs that I like and the rest are just sort of okay. But today, I started listening to the Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind soundtrack and? This whole thing is amazing! Not just for the scenes it reminds me of, but in general? So awesome!

I'm leaving this on repeat the rest of the day. :D

I highly reccomend check it out or buying it or something. It's not fast-paced, but it IS awesome.
• So hardcore I can barely stand.

Chrystal can easily turn me on to new bands, it seems. Sometimes it's a passing fancy, but about 80% of the time, I end up obsessing over the band/singer/what-have-you.

Pulp is my most recent obsession. I love mellow music, and this is nice and smooth and just YES. I like all the songs so far, and now I have a few more goodies in my metaphorical tunes basket. I just...ACES, YO.

The same thing happened with Her Space Holiday, really. I still adore their music - just made a CD of theirs to listen to while in the shower. It's so calming.

Those have been the two bands over which I've squeed most. Cause how can I not? For reals.

I have nothing to say, as you can well see. I just LOVE PULP. I also am beginning to like the Libertines more than I promised myself I would (heh). Ah well. Who cares? I'm having an awesome time of it.
• Memory triggers.

I was looking at spammity on LJ and I think I remarked to Seph in a comment that a lot of the music he seems to really like are more like memory-triggers than anything else in my mind. Like Jump Around by House of Pain reminds me of the first time I saw Mrs. Doubtfire. I love the song for its content (I do, actually), but moreso because of how it reminds me of something in my life. I have a horrible memory.

I was listening to Poison by Bill Bev Devoe and it made me grin like crazy. That song has so many good memories attached to it. I love it muchly.

And that's all I have to say about that.
• I must really love monkeys...

The great thing about this site is that it lets you see just how many times you listen to stuff on repeat.

Over a thousand times listening to Gorillaz - in a nearing-the-two-thousand-mark way.

I mean, I know I like monkeys and all simian sorts of animals, but this is ridiculous.
