Well, I've been listening to music on last.fm for a few months now and I love, love, love this website. I have discovered a lot of artists that I never knew about and now have grown to love. I am amazed at how one can completely get immersed in all sorts of musical genres that I didn't even know existed. No radio or television station these days can do that for me anymore, especially since I live in a small town. I have realized since my teens that there is a lot of music out there that the general public will never know about. I remember going to record stores and seeing tons of records, tapes, and then cds and afraid to buy any of them because there was never any airplay for these records and I was tired of buying something that turned out to be a total flop. This site is my saviour for discovering good music. I have watched the music industry just kill itself over the last few decades starting in the disco era and it leaves me feeling robbed and disappointed. Thank-you good people of last.fm – and thank god for independent labels and the internet.
