already seen this????-- > BRIAN ENO Music For Glitterbug [no label 1CD] ---- > http://www.bigozine2.com/archive/ARrarities/ARbeglitter.html "Here is the original stereo mix of that soundtrack that was eventually worked over by Jah Wobble and released as Spinner after much changes - Wobble added rhythms, bass parts, and orchestra." ROIO of the Week [Recordings of Indeterminate Origin] BRIAN ENO Music For Glitterbug [no label 1CD] A clue as to the origins of this recording was finally gleaned in June of 1998 when Eno was interviewed in Mojo magazine. "Spinner wasn't really a collaboration [with Jah Wobble]. I had done the soundtrack to the Derek Jarman film, Glitterbug, but didn't think it stood up on its own as an album, without the film."

check out the pioneering musician B.C. Williamson here. he's great.

www.bcwilliamson.com

Coming from a poor agricultural family in Mississippi, B.C. Williamson rose to become a pioneer of blues music in the early 1950s, releasing "Giraffe" in 1953. By 1960, after a brief spell of military service, Williamson had embraced electrified music, crossing over into widespread success throughout America, attracting audiences both black and white to his intense live appearances. Williamson soon shed his blues roots, newly influenced by genres ranging from Brazilian samba to contemporary classical music to early electronic music. Recordings made after 1965 are hailed by music historians as instrumental in the development of punk rock. After further experiments in music, Williamson retired to Cuba in 1970, remaining there alone for five years. He would return to the United States in 1975, recording "Come Back". Failing to find success in this new era, Williamson would only record sporadically over the next fifteen years. Dissatisfied with the state of the music industry, Williamson joined the clergy in the late 1980s. His last album would be released in 1989, before he gave up music for good, in favor of his church work. Rejecting religion in 2005, Williamson has finally rekindled his music career, moving to London, England in 2009, where he produces and records new music. As of 2011, Williamson is working on a sample-based electronica album, a rarities collection, a set of memoirs, and an English doctorate at University College London. A documentary about his life "Standing Tall And Straight: The B.C. Williamson Story", is currently in production.
