ahh :| ohh cool, I like Duppy but I don't like it aha, the lyrics are too basic for my liking. yeah I was just trying to show you what it sounded like in the early days and was planning to show you some songs that are more up to date but I guess you'll get to them once you start listening to some more artists :) Dizzee is a legend but it's a shame he doesn't make Grime anymore :( ah it's cool, let me know how you get on!

and finally, we have a song produced by Skepta who is without a doubt the biggest Grime artist of today http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nlmhlWECMUk I'll continue educating you once you've watched these :)

yeah I know somebody who is obsessed with him and I don't really get why lol :s haha ok, we'll start off with two songs that inspired people to rap in the first place :) we have a song by So Solid Crew http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TRCBy8hrOIM and one by Oxide & Neutrino http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZ-27rdwJPs both of these songs went to number one in the singles chart and the hype they caused was unbelievable! and not long after that, Grime was born :D but with these next four songs, it was when Grime didn't actually have a name and I'm not really expecting you to like these but they were important in starting the scene. the first song we have is by Wiley, many people say he created Grime and therefore call him the Grime Godfather aha http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e1YKFV45M18 Then we have a song by Dizzee Rascal who was good friends with Wiley at the time, Wiley was kinda like a tutor to him? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YH0KWX2a8zY

yeah Grime is the harder stuff. umm I'd class Pro Green as pop/grime/hip hop and Tinie is more of a mix of hip hop/pop/house kinda stuff... but they all started off as Grime mc's. ah it's cool, I can educate you on it if you like? :) I kinda think Example sucks haha but I'd class him as electro/pop with a little hip hop? oh cool, well you know who to come to if you want more recommendations :p I want to show you some real grime if you're ok with that?

hmm, just any you have heard of. yeah I get the impresson that Tinie is really blowing up in the US? in England, the number one genre for rappers is grime, then hip hop is second... but the past few years the hip hop scene has become really big but still has a long way to get on the same level as grime. cool, I've kind of gone off Tinchy a bit since he broke into the mainstream but Game Over is one of his better mainstream songs. haha I think it's because dubstep was created in England around the same time grime was created, I think. ahh thanks! yeah Keep Floatin is classic :') oh and by the way, are Tinie Tempah, Tinchy Stryder and the others on Game Over the only English rappers you've heard of?

haha really? here it seems like everything in america is better :s ahh only people who are really into hip hop would know Odd Future here, like the average listener wouldn't know about them... oh just out of curiosity, what do you think of the english rappers making their way into america? cool! let me know what you think of it :') aha, you probably knew that was coming right? :p and it's no problem! I'm always happy to help :)

yeah course! yeah it's great, I feel America is lacking young and talented rappers whereas England, we have quite a few of them. but it's good to see young talent like Odd Future blow up internationally, A LOT of people know about them in England it's crazy. wow you're pretty late aha, I've been listening to everything from his last two mixtapes, K.I.D.S. and Best Day Ever. I'd recommend checking out 'Best Day Ever', 'Get Up', 'Donald Trump' and 'Keep Floatin' from his Best Day Ever mixtape and 'Nikes On My Feet', 'Traffic In The Sky', Don't Mind If I Do', 'Good Evening' and 'Kool Aid & Frozen Pizza' from K.I.D.S. the last track being my most favourite track of his recently. well, hope I helped!

my taste is a bit eclectic so overall i'd go with: mother falcon - a band from austin comprised of violins, cellos, violas, saxophones, trumpets, etc, and some great vocals xv wale j. cole passion - soulful singer/songwriter type as far as hiphop goes.. j. cole, xv, wale, classic drake, pac

yeah MellowHype is basically Hodgy Beats solo because Left Brain is a producer... yeah Tyler and Frank Ocean are my top 2 too and I've been meaning to check out Domo, heard a couple of tracks when he's came on while my playlist is on shuffle. I haven't even listened to Earl much since we last spoke D: sleeping a little bit haha, I'll let you know after a few more listens!

I went on Gambino's page the other day and his comments were filled up with people comparing the two :s woahh I'd love to see him live! you just know it'll be a great show. yeah, it's still early days for me too to make a judgement on that aha. alright cool! :)

yeah Frank Ocean is class! oh ok, really? everyone I know has been saying Tyler is the best but I can't really give my opinion on that because I've not listened to Earl that much... too bad he's in boarding school and isn't allowed to release any more music until he turns 18! well, it has to go by his mum until he's 18... D: oh yeah, Childish Gambino has skills! but I don't get why people are comparing him with Tyler, they're too different. oh and Gambino is someone who I can say IS one of my favourite rappers, amazing! let me know what you think of the other members of Odd Future :)

I've checked out Bastard and Goblin, but I wouldn't say I'm an expert on them and I haven't listened to them enough to determine which songs are my favourite and all that. yeah I hear a lot of people saying they prefer Bastard. despite all that Tyler is quickly becoming one of my favourite rappers. have you checked out the other members of Odd Future?

aha wow! thanks! I've actually been trying to get into Tyler, The Creator but failing at the moment... I do like some songs but not enough to call myself a fan! :|
