Placebo is my favorite band as one can see after my profile page. Seeing them live will never be a disappointment even if my favorite songs weren't in the set list, even if they had some technical difficulties even if Brian's voice did not perform very well from time to time, even if they were, let's say cold, in the relationship with the crowd (especially Brian). It was great just being there, it will be great just to say that "I've been there" sometimes in your lifetime.
After all, even if in Romania the ticket's price was about at least 20% of the minimum wage, the place was full of people, the tickets were sold-out a few days before the concert, so Placebo is not an underground band anymore, they have sold-out gigs all over the world, and that is of course because they have matured, even if Brian likes to consider himself a permanent teenager, their songs are much more closer to everyone's feelings, especially from the latest album "Meds". Their lyrics describe everyone's feelings and not just some weird deep introverted thoughts.
I guess Placebo is a band that evolved, just like all the other bands, but this evolution is not just becoming more commercial as it usually happens, it's about becoming more mature, more objective, and of course it is about having a more complex and full sound. And of course, let's not forget it is about becoming more popular and that means playing live also in smaller, poorer countries like Romania :)
