I've done it!

1000 tracks. This is worth mentioning. Track number 1000 was coincidently Given

Looking at my playlist this is gonna get a serious fight between
Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree, Blackfield and in some way Opeth)
Neal Morse (Spock's Beard and his Solo Stuff)
Maynard James Keenan (Tool and A Perfect Circle)

The most frequently played Drummer seems to be Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater and Neal Morse)
though I like Danny Carey (Tool) a lot more.

Most surprising for myself about this profile is, how much I acutally listen to "softer" music.
Also I've already found a lot of cool new artists on AS, like
Spock's Beard, Strata and Marillion.
Let's see what the next thousand tracks have in store for me ;)

i'd like to see a fight between wilson and keenan mike portnoy is an amazing drummer, i wish i could see DT live, and tool too. if you're into progressive drumming, you should check out some Virgil Donatti stuff (planet x, on the virg, number of other projects)

Danney Carey is what makes Tool good. When you give a mediocre band an awesome drummer, the mediocre band turns awesome.

I think what makes Danny special is his band. Tool makes music I've never heard before and he takes his opportunity and plays drums in a way I've never heard before, too. Technically there are better drummers than him, but they don't have this great music to play to. But it's definitely the awesome drumming that makes Tool so damn great. I heard the name Virgil Donatti before, I will do my best to find some of his stuff ;)
