Ethereal soundscapes is just one more blog that's about music. This one focuses on various kinds of ambient/atmospheric music, be it post-rock, neofolk, or black metal and some alternate genres such as post-metal, post-black or folk black. It mostly tries to stick in an underground scene, you don't want to learn about artists you already know, do you?

I won't give any marks as it'd be pointless, since I love all those albums and would rate them from 8 to 10 out of 10. I prefer using quick, to-the-point reviews that are easily read instead of blabbering a ton…

Verenpisara is almost a side-project from Amorphis since the bands have three members in common : Tomi Koivusaari and Santeri Kallio playing guitars and Niclas Etelävuori playing bass. Well, this latter left since 2010, but he did work on the last album, as the recordings were done long before the release. Just like Tomi, drummer Atte Sarkima played with Ajattara too. Of course, there is, thus, a strong Amorphis influence in their stuff. Now you gonna ask about vocals, since you worry about that. Rami Raski offers quality clean vocals in finnish. 1, What's your favorite song by 15? (Anathema)
Ooh, I guess it has to be Forgotten hopes. Though, Deep and Regret are great too. I guess I should have to give a listen to their other stuff, I'm getting stuck with only 3 of their albums. :D

2, How did you get into 20? (Katatonia)
Was seeking similar bands to Rapture. Saw many times it was greatly inspired from Katatonia's Brave Murder Day. Their only album I listen to, actually, I don't enjoy their recent works much. :/

That was a cool gig. I won't detail here the place or that kind of stuff and will just concentrate on what the bands did. Hopefully I knew all 3 of them, so I feel able to judge what they did quite well. I will only talk about music, of course this is my own opinion but I'll try to keep objective. I don't flame the bands 'cause I hate people doing that (every artist has got talent, let they play what they like), don't flame me.
