Good music taste... you're either pretty retrospective or we were young at the same time. :D

Great taste, I feel what you wrote about 1978 and Kraftwerk.. I had similar early encounters with music.. Michael Cretu - Samurai, Video Kids - Woodpeckers from Space and other more cheesy stuff. Perhaps you should listen more to "Glejs"? Or my ambient downtempo electronic project "Glenn Liljestrand"..

Just saw your shout on Rude 66's page and couldn't help but recommend a mix I made which is very much based on that same feel of dark, dystopian futurism: http://cdn.last.fm/erik/European_Man_-_Stories_from_the_Dystopian_Border.mp3 Enjoy!

The reason our compatability has gone all funny is coz mel keeps logging on as me and playing "girl tunes" which has made my profile all gay. Glad you like wolfmother, i've found some ace stuff listening to "like bands" link off the queens of the stone age page, have a listen when you can, cool desert rock grunge stuff enjoy!

Über mich

When I was 6 years old (in 1978), someone gave me a cassette with the newly released "Man Machine" on one side and "Trans Europe Express" on the other. I played it till it wore out. I think pretty much everything can be traced back to that one event.
