Kaufleuten, Zurich
Yes, yes, yes - I know. Starsailor AGAIN. I wasn't sure if I should attend that concert, I mean that would have been my 5th time seeing them live! A friend of mine though persuaded me - thank you!
When we arrived at the venue someone said that the concert would end at 10pm - and I'm convinced that the band also wanted to see the 2nd half of how England took revenge on Croatia (footy wise…). Well that was just for my liking - perfect.
Once again, I didn't really see much of the support act and by the time Starsailor were on we managed to be in the front rows which was very important that night. And again I keep going on and on about that audience - well most of the time venue also has something to do with the kind of audience you can expect - and that was also the case that night. Luckily we were standing in the front rows where the crowd loved every single minute of it - including two girls who kept screaming and even managed to have the singer addressing them (mainly because he found the screaming rather disturbing..).
As for the music, the setlist, etc. - what can I say. Starsailor are a great live band and that night they were definitely in high spirits. We got treated with a few covers - apart from Let It Be and Blur's Girls & Boys, at the end of a song there was also a big of MGMT in it - great. What was different to the last concert was that I knew the new songs by heart now & hearing them live again was fantastic - mainly TELL ME IT'S NOT OVER.
All in all: A perfect English eve - right from the beginning to the very end (in the pub). And would I go and see them again? 150% yes!
