At this very moment I am sitting in my living room with the air conditioning blowing against the back of my head. I am 15 years old and I turn 16 in 4 days. My brother and his girlfriend Meghan are over here and I really don't have much to say about them. I am in the process of taking Behind the Wheel driving classes at my school which is really quite tedious yet my teacher and I always seem to find something interesting to talk about, like rusty trucks we happen to drive by on the side of the road.
I personally feel that this upcoming Junior year of High School is going to be one of the hardest years in my educational career. I am taking many honors courses, such as Honors Chemistry, Sociology, Pre-Calculus, Economics, and AP Language. On top of all of those classes, I have a long running relationship with my girlfriend which I have to keep happy. I am currently working for a band known as the Cheeseburgers who cover Rock and Roll songs and I play the role of Angus Young in the song Dirty Deeds. It can be pretty fun, but the lead guitarist plans on retiring at the end of 2009, which will most likely cause for a disband in the band.
My future plans which God only knows will actually take place is to graduate with at least a 4.2 GPA, get accepted in the University of Illinois Department of Engineering, graduate, and become a professional engineer. Right now the possibilities of me being in a band any time for the rest of my life are slim. Bands just aren't what they used to be. People don't want to see rock concerts anymore. People just want to listen to music and dance around. On top of that, only a rare bunch of songs that come out today are worth listening to in my opinion.
Musicwise, I am currently a big listener of Oar and the Counting Crows. I am truly disappointed in the recent death of Michael Jackson.
Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future.
