That's heaps good for you then! They're both cheap gigs, Sinister ticket was under $40 and regular Gorguts tickets are under $50 but I decided to get the deluxe with a shirt and stuff. Man I cannot imagine not going out to a gig for that long, I'd probably go nuts!

Gorguts for sure! Sinister are not a huge thing for me... they're good but I'd probably not bother with the tour if they weren't playing Canberra haha. You going to go to shows for both as well? :)

I only heard Toxik a few months ago I'm pretty sure. I was a little thrash kiddie back in school but they obviously evaded me back then somehow. :P

Well being underage it's such a hard job trying to find gigs i can go to . The only bands i've seen are the ones that have been at soundwave this year and last year's one , i've seen a couple of bands from melbourne , when i was younger i saw bullet for my valentine haha , next week i'm seeing cattle decap and king parrot. and then in july i'm seeing enabler and king parrot.

i know right. I live pretty far down my line and it can take me up to about 40- 50 minutes just to get to the city. i saw them at soundwave because i'm underage.

You're right that Burial (electronic) has a very elitist fanbase. I can see why listening to his music why this is. It doesn't tarnish the music, he still is an incredible musician. But seriously just because someone was there before the other one really holds little relevance. Either way it's best to ignore these people as you aren't going to get anything done about it apart from make/extend an argument which is pointless really.

Seriously is there any need to act like a tool? Burial (electronic producer) provides some of the best music i have listened to. Just because you are uneducated on electronic music doesn't give you a right to have a pop at other people. I don't know much about metal, thus i don't give uneducated views about it as i know like any genre there is brilliance and rubbish. Burial (electronic producer) is incredible and provides a very unique listening experience which is surreal at times. I don't expect people who have knowledge of that sort of music to understand it. People take time to adjust to change and difference ultimately. As i say he is one of the biggest talents i have ever listened to and one of the greatest people in electronic music at this moment in time and its history i would say too. Peace out.

i'm sorry about all the "metal is for children" crap too. i endured some many American people saying the music i liked to listen to was "gay techno," "unts unts unts," and "not dave matthews band?" now as a result, i feel this protective closeness to it. i was there when the dance wall came crumbling down, i watched it all happen on the internet. and 3 years later, they whitewashed all the culture and spirit out of the music. so i feel so protective about my deeper tastes, hissing away to casual passers-by that "you don't know what true dance music is." i'm an extremist. you and i, we are two holy warriors for what we believe in to be true. you believe in technique and the instrumental prowess to create intricate sound and music without technological aid and i believe that computers provide the truest link between imagination and execution. neither of us is right, yet neither of us is wrong. Someday comrade, we shall again meet in Valhalla. \m/

dude, chill out. i was only kidding because natives in australia are called that, just like if you called me a hick or a redneck (which you all but did in retaliation), i'd be brushing it off too. i ain't saying nothing about people who choose to live their lives in a simpler way be from spiritual choice and ancestry and feeling fulfillment. look, as a foreigner in America, i'm used to an outsider sense. shit some people i meet and work with still find it funny to jab at me constantly because my ethnic name shares the brand name of a particularly cheap and vile alcohol that's popular with frat boys. everyone i meet asks me to swear in my language cause they think it'd sound funny. racism and stereotyping is staring to get DNA'd out, but i'm no stranger to racism, no matter how subtle and calm my case might be. so i don't feel bad for myself when i poke fun at the whole racism issue online. but i am sorry for offending you, i truly meant no harm.
