For that Cambodian track look for the 'Cambodian Rocks' compilation series in 'Mother Russia + Other Asian Albums!'

Well that's any easy one :) Go to the forum and look in 'compilations v/a' for the 'Nippon Girls' Compilation. All the artists and track names should be in roman characters. While you are there also check out the 'Japanese Rockin' Psyche & Punk' series, If you liked the tracks in that youtube clip you should love those albums! I've still got three more of those ones to post and I've saved the best until last! Japanese music is a tough area to look into if you can't read the language and your PC don't display the characters, but it's worth persevering because some of the musicians are out of this world! Let me know how you get on and I'll see if I can steer you towards any other you may like. I still love my western psych but because I've been listening to it for a long time it's makes a nice change to hear something slightly different. I'm also becoming more open to the softer soulful stuff as well.

Lol, now THAT's what I'm talkin' about! If you haven't found it already, it's on the 'Good Night Tokyo' compilation. :)

Wow, nice new pic! Yes, I'd found those comps a little while ago, which is how I found out about the cool Romauld i Roman! and a few others I hadn't heard before. I've been a BIG fan of Black music, 60' & 70's R&B, Jazz, Funk, Soul etc, for a long time. My all time favourite artists HAVE to be James Brown (of course), Curtis Mayfield, Nina Simone and I LOVE Bill Withers! I know you really like the 60's stuff but please don't write off the early 70's for WONDERFUL Black Soul, Funk & R&B! I haven't listened to so much of it over the last couple of years because as you can see I've gotten into other stuff as well. If you are interested in trying out some groovy 60's Asian artists I'll PM you a link to somewhere you can find it.

I am jealous, wish I understood the languages of these countries better :(. I still enjoy the different sounds & rhythms of the languages. I always prefer that they sing in their own language and not in English, even if I don't understand the lyrics. There are only a few artists that sing in English that I really enjoy the lyrics anyway, Rodriguez is one of them :). I only found out about the great 60's/70's Polish Beat, Jazz & Funk scene through the great "Polish Funk" compilations. I am facinated by how the music that was made in the UK & USA in the 60's had such an impact on different countries own music. Band's that toured the world at that time like The Ventures, The Shadows and of course The Beatles all influenced different countries in different ways. I particularly enjoy it when a country fuses it's own traditional music with the western styles, which is why I really like a lot of Brazilian, Asian and Far Eastern stuff from around that time.

Of course I was just joking about the The Pretty Things & The Kinks! :) The Kinks are my all time favorite British band ever! Followed very closely by The Pretty Things, Small Faces & The Who. You said that you thought it was funny that I had recommended a Swedish artist to you, but I have actually noticed that some lastfm users hardly listen to any music from their own country! I'm glad to see you're someone who is happy to listen to music from any country :). I see you've been listening to some Eastern European artists, there's some pretty damn groovy stuff that came out Hungary, Poland & Czechoslovakia. Breakout, Grupa ABC & Romuald i Roman all pretty cool.

Lol, yeah she's more early 70's acid folk. I'm really into the 60's sound, but I also like music from any of the 'Golden Eras' in music too. Who are "The Pretty Things" & "The Kinks"? Are they any good? He, he, ;)
