Can music heal pain?
Just a thought I had today, and as ever Google has delivered delicious nuggets of information for assimilation.
According to 'The Healing Music Organization', yes it can………… sometimes.
So there we go, that's cleared that up.(here)
Actually this is a really interesting subject. Music relieves stress, we all know that right? It's one of the many reasons we love it so.
Lower stress = more relaxed body = more endorphins, one of our natural pain killers = less pain. Simple, right? well, it seems there's more to it than that, but I don't have the time or inclination to go into the complexities of it all. You can use Google, it's easy!
The placebo effect is interesting too, and probably has a bearing on all this. What's even more interesting though is that the placebo effect is becoming more and more effective. Weird right? Check it out here
