Naomi tweeted about The Blackout being in Bristol in october a week or so ago, and said that she didn't have anyone to go with.
I am partial to The Blackout - I saw them in Cardiff with My Chemical Romance - and I really like their new album Hope.
So I thought Why not, it'll be fun and now I'm going on the 27th October. Their support acts aren't up yet, which is sad, but since it's like 6 months away, I guess I can wait ;)

    Funfunfun :D

    It. Was. Amazing!

Their support acts were quite good too - LostAlone came on in a snazzy fashion - their intro was good, but Fran and I were trying to think of what the tune was. Because we both knew it...
The Blackout were especially good, since I'm not really a fan of them. I like some of their songs, but other than that, no thanks. But they had me bobbing along in my seat - at this point, after waiting for two and a half hours outside with wet feet and foot-cramp, I was about to die - and singing the words I knew (which was limited to about one line that I'd picked up).
Obviously, when My Chemical Romance came on, we were down in the middle of the floor, even with our bags and jackets, screaming and dancing like there was no tomorrow. Serious damage was done to my muscles last night, and it was all worth it to be apart of something so amazing ♥

But we had this crazy drunk guy behind us and he kept touching me. Talk about awkward.

I'm partially deaf right now, and there's still ringing in my ears - which I hold as a sign of a really, really great concert.

I hope they come back to the UK sometime. I'll fork out any amount of money to see them again ♥
  • I love my mom <3

She was late to work because she was buying my and my friend My Chemical Romance tickets and she didn't even mind.
    To me, of course.
And to my love of music no-one else in my sixth form appreciates any more.
You know, MCR used to be our whole groups' favourite band when we were 13 or something. I suppose we were quite stereotypical back then, following the older 'emo' kids and whatever.
I'm the only one left who still has the whole discography and listens to it frequently.

Although, I'm not going to lie, I went through a stage about a year ago when I didn't like them. But Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge has always been my favourite album. I love every track on it.
And I hardly ever like every song on an album; usually it's just three or four and I delete the rest from my iPod.
Anyway, the point of that was: hearing about the tickets for a UK tour just brought back my immense love for them so~

That point sucked, really. I don't know why I keep doing these fancy journal things.

Oh, I saw a ring-tailed Lemur at the zoo today!
  • Looks like I may very well be going to the MCR gig in february!

    30. Nov. 2010, 18:27

This is going to be AWESOME.
    My Chemical Romance? YES PLEASE.
Tickets go on sale friday and I will be getting them. I hope.
  • Realised I need to do this?

    18. Nov. 2010, 21:14

    No, but whatever.
Just literally to inform no-one that the Kids in Glass Houses gig was IMMENSE, they put on such an amazing show that it legit made up for the fact that I knew one song and the main reason I was there was to see Boys Like Girls.
I can now confirm that I will be going to see them again when they are next in Brizzle.

AND! The other support band, You And What Army, who I had never heard of before, were absolutely supermegafoxyawesomehot. Dave had such boss hair. It was super long and instead of being like other boys' with long hair, it was shiny and looked really soft and when he moved it like, floated! Guys, it floated. How immense can you get.
The tunes were good stuff too, of course. I didn't know what they were about because they were this strange mix of rap/hip-hop/metal/electronic or something and it seemed like something I wouldn't like but it was good shizz.

On another note, apparently Blink 182 are touring the UK next summer? According to Dais anyway, and I want tickets. Too bad I don't have any money and by the time I do they'll all be gone.
And I'd never get time off school to get there anyway.
    Life. Sucks.
    But only because of that.
The fact that I have actually done my Sociology homework for a change has put me on a sort of high.

    Over and out, xo
  • Oh.

    14. Nov. 2010, 16:44

Kids in Glass Houses tommorw night and I choose this time to realise that means I will have to do all my homework for the 16th tonight.
But I really can't be bothered.
    Do not want.

On top of that, can I really even be bothered? I mean, I'm super excited to see Boys Like Girls especially. But I'm so lazy!

Eh, whatever. I'll just loiter home tomorrow after school and get ready anyway~
  • Actually going to KIGH next month.

    25. Okt. 2010, 20:37

Payed Dais over half of the money for the Kids in Glass Houses ticket, so I am officially going. I'm going to have to go find the page for that in a minute.

She also asked me if I wanted a Kerrang Relentless tour ticket for Christmas. I haven't made up my mind whether I want to go or not. I'm not really into any of the bands playing, and I don't want her to waste her money on something I'm not going to enjoy.

On a different note, my parents are going to see Blake (the welsh singers, not the metal band thing...) on Friday and I'll be alone so I'm gong to watch a ton of horror movies in the dark and seriously creep myself out. They asked my if I wanted to go because I like them aswell, but the tickets were quite expensive and I didn't want to intrude on their night. And horror films are more fun anyway.
  • 7th October was amazing, 9th was a slight disaster.

    10. Okt. 2010, 17:12

So the 7th was the Bowling For Soup concert, and it was fully amazing. I adored The Dollyrots and Forever the Sickest Kids. Not so much 'A' because they were just not my thing and swore like truckers. In my opinion, not exactly attractive.
But hey, Bowling for Soup WERE ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I literally have no other way to describe it.
Also, The Dollyrots are my new favourite band, ok?

And the 9th. It was fully amazing, loitering at Paige's and watching the X-Factor, eating food and stuff until her ex showed up with his drunk mates and didn't leave until one thirty in the morning.

But whatever, I have Media studies and Psychology tomorrow. Yay for catching the bus at 8 in the morning.

I need money to go see Kids in Glass Houses and Boys Like Girls in November.
    Someone sub me?
