well, right now, i'm attempting to slowly work myself through beck's entire discography. other than that, i just started listening to nice nice - i like it so far. oh the scott pilgrim soundtrack (more beck haha) is pretty nice, mostly garage rock oriented. yeah, i'll check out new warpaint. i've heard the name but never actually gave them a listen

ooh, must've forgotten. sorry to hear about Melo. i'm not an avid sports fan, so it took me a while to realize you weren't talk about chicken nuggets, hah. but, that's a good rule of thumb to hold for cheesecake-related conversations. maybe i'll adopt it

thanks for sharing. i had not seen that daytrotter session. lately these days, it seems everything from bikes to cheesecake can be turned into a conversation about lebron james leaving cleveland. nonetheless, glad to see cloud nothings getting some recognition. are you a fan as well?

Correct. I've been attending ACL since I was a wee kid, and I had never been fascinated or woed by it. However, this year I am mind blown with the line up. It's basically like a Pre- SXSW. (I will never love a man as much as I love SXSW; my heart belongs there and only there). So, I am extremely extremely excited for ACL this year. And, yes, Pitchfork! I'm going to the Sunday one. It has the greatest line up on that day. From Pavement to St Vincent to Surfer Blood to Beach House. It's just a great day for music on that day. And I love Spoon. I once talked to, bassist, Rob Pope for over an hour about the strangest things. And Britt Daniel is just a charm. He always makes fun of me because about a year ago, I was shooting one of their sets and this kid threw up on my foot during their encore. He never lets me forget that. But, that's still awesome. As long as you tangle yourself in music, our friendship is sealed.

Certainly, certainly. I reside in Austin and I am a music photographer. Meaning, I get the honor of going to shows about every night, guest-listed, and I get to photograph and listen to that many splendid sounds that make this world beautiful. :)

hahaha, you know I did.. and I just couldn't get into it. I also needed some more space on my computer so I ended up deleting the gb or so of it that I had. I listened to what most of the Pavement fans seemed to think was their best album, and didn't really enjoy it at all. : / Sorry man! Thanks for the suggestion anyways.

i love bands like that- i like it when what you're listening to really takes you back. I actually listened to Pavement and the Pixies a few years back- i'm listening to pavement right now and i really did miss it. As for my recommendations I'll just give you my favorite band of all time and what i've been listening to a lot lately. my favorite band of all time is Tegan and Sara and I've been listening to a lot of Sea Wolf lately. Give em a listen, i hope you enoy.

i'm assuming you wrote the poem in your about me? it's quite beautiful; you really have a way with words. so the song is alluding to "i am a rock" by simon & garfunkel, right?
