Thanks! I'm pretty happy with it. As for your question, I'm not sure. Agaetis, ( ) and Takk... are almost constantly rotating as my favorite Sigur Ros album. It would almost certainly be in the top 30 as well. I commend you on your list too. Good selections and I like the presentation as a whole. That must have taken an outrageous amount of time to make.

Oh by the way, if you're still looking for recommendations, I'd also check out Alva Noto's Xerrox (both volumes). Odds are they'll suit your fancy.

Angelic Process, meh. Somebody wrote on the shoutbox for that song you mentioned "like getting kicked in the balls by God." Now THAT applies to Paik in spades! Kickass drumbeats with tympani + overwhelming wall of guitar = getting punchdrunk in the best possible way

  • micahnewman

I think you were asking for my top ten favorite songs of all time... the first five of these are my definite top five, the rest is a stab at places six through ten: Cocteau Twins - "Heaven or Las Vegas"; Cocteau Twins - "Carolyn's Fingers"; Paik - "Spanning Time"; Explosions in the Sky - "The Only Moment We Were Alone"; Mogwai - "Friend of the Night"; lovesliescrushing - "ghosts that swirl"; lovesliescrushing - "suischre"; Cocteau Twins - "Frou-Frou Foxes in Midsummer Fires"; Slowdive - "When the Sun Hits"; Paik - "Purple"; Swervedriver - "Never Lose That Feeling"

I checked it out, some really cool stuff there. I guess I'll toss recommendations like "The Ones that Get Away" by Arnej, some stuff by Emeralds and some stuff by OPN, which you have played here. Oh and some Lone wouldn't hurt either.

Hey there, Think you'll probably dig them all- Mordant Music has got quite a retro electronic edge which as a fan of Boards of Canada should appeal. Arthur Russell is brilliant and unlike anything else and Trouble Books is just fantastic lo-fi stuff- like Microphones. Mount Eerie at his most minimal. Hope you enjoy!
