    8.16.13: Right on the heels of the 2nd listen of MoS, I finally backed in the soundtrack to the post-apocalyptic science-fiction film "Oblivion" in my headphones. (I watched it, twice [8.12 & 8.13.13], through YT rental here on the compy; hindsight screams that it should have happened in the theatre!) - Although I agree with PF that mayhap positioning this as an M83-penned score does it a disservice (or I will agree when I have absorbed more M83 goodness), since frontman Anthony Gonzalez worked solo with composer Joseph Trapanese, I cannot help but LOVE this score, or at least major parts of it...it, the ~feel~ of it, no matter the harping on blandness or repetition, fits in with the ~visuals~ of the film so well; for a film that thrives off its visuals, this = the right job to have done, heh.

    8.16.13: P.S. to previous post -- Technically, since [I have always annoyingly found that] the day does not truly "skip over" at midnight (12:00 a.m. = so arbitrary, ugh), this 2nd scrobbling of the MoS soundtrack comes on 8.15.13, and ~moreover~ b/c I FINALLY did the GC parayan on this day, on this Indian Independence Day no less (August 15th, yep), I find it rather apropos to note that this 2nd listen of Han Zimmer's MoS be logged as on 8.15.13, mhmm. (Though the 1st listen was...heavier, this = more iconic in ways.) ---- 3rd time = nothing but music & darkness like 1st, but correct order like this 2nd, mayhap?

    8.16.13: Nearly a ~month~ after my first computer scrobble (and since this = my 2nd listen as well, more than a month since the 1st one), the "Man of Steel" soundtrack finally gets the correct-listening-order-listening treatment from me...only on the 7th track now [i.e. 1/3 of the way through], and it sounds so much more powerful, evocative, frankly ~super~ now, this way...*sigh* -- ADDENDUM: Forgot to note that I added in the tracks from the 2nd Disc of this Deluxe Edition soundtrack into this listen, splicing them in ~hopefully~ the right placement(s)...

    7.17.13: Although I purchased the Man of Steel (Limited Deluxe Edition) two-disc movie soundtrack [on a whim] ~before~ I saw "Man of Steel," although I [belatedly] saw the film on 7.09.13 (and again 7.13.13), and although I first listened to [Disc 1 of] the soundtrack by itself in my headphones on 7.14.13, I am ~finally~ scrobbling that/those listening experience(s) here now, after ripping the tracks to my computer just today...now I just have to find some spacetime to experience Disc 2, the [hopefully] deeper soundscapes of Kal-El/Superman...

    6.27.13: - Missed a lot of notes here, but need to jot this down: ~Finally~ joined & starting streaming from Spotify on 6.23.13. (The listening to musicks shall be interesting now...)

    3.23.12: - After many moons of no scrobbles, after even more months of unwritten notes, the first album to be scrobbled (i.e. also the first songs to be listened to via computer) after those long vignettes of life = "Heart" by Stars. -- This also = the first album both ripped to & scrobbled from the ~new~ [Windows 8] computer, many moons post-purchase indeed... (I guess this makes up for not having scrobbled "Heart" first, on the ~old~ (i.e. older, Windows XP) computer, as Stars will never known to this record from its original point of acquisition & hearing, before The Fray and whatnot else, in Oct. 2006, the inception of this scrobbling business...

    11.11.12: - "Freewill" by the band Rush [heard first on the car radio serendipitously] = the 7500th scrobbled track & the 899th loved track, here on Last.fm. ------ (Nina Simone's "Feeling Good" [first heard through Pandora] was the 7499th scrobbled track; the Michael Buble cover of "Feeling Good" [heard at the same time on Pandora] was not able to be scrobbled through Hype Machine, so it will have to wait...) ------ "Anything Could Happen" by Ellie Goulding = the 900th loved track + 7501th scrobbled track.

    11.07.12: - *Whilst playing F+tM's "Spectrum," thought up these lines: ~forgot my name but never my eyes / forgot your name but never your taste~ / ~a kiss by any other name could never taste as sweet~ ---- *Whilst playing the non-loved tracks from the Florence + the Machine album 'Ceremonials' in the car, realized that the song in the movie preview for that teen-book-into-movie Beautiful Creatures = "Seven Devils" (which now = a Loved track!), and not a new track by them.

    11.02.12: ~past midnight~ - Finally purchased the soundtrack album to the film version of the book "The Perks of Being a Wallflower," after nearly three weeks of delay. -- Listened to it as purely as possible, but of course not as poetically, since a drive through a tunnel would have been necessary... -- On just the 1st listen, unabashedly too, this = one of my top Soundtrack Albums of All Time. -- Found it imperative to rip, play, and scrobble the album ASAP, which meant getting out of bed at 4-something a.m., as soon as the album finished its final strains in the headphones. -- ALL Tracks = Loved, and even individually deservedly so.

    10.16.12: - Finally purchased, played, and scrobbled the instant favorite album 'My Head Is An Animal' by the Icelandic Indie Folk/Pop band Of Monsters And Men. -- One of the few serendipitous discovery of bands/albums presented to me from B&N and its In-Store Playlist. -- "Little Talks" & "Mountain Sound can finally be recorded as played & Loved here, and the Loved tracks "Slow And Steady" and "Love Love Love" = beauteous new sonic heartstring-pullers.

    10.14-15.12: -- a P.S. to previous post -- Just to note explicitly, and taking into account a chronology both of release & listened-to, this = the whole line-up played on this Overnight betwixt the Eve & the Birthday: "What the Snowman Learned About Love" (Heart; LP) – "Counting Stars on the Ceiling" (Nightsongs; LP) – "Your Ex-Lover Is Dead" (Set Yourself on Fire; LP) – "Krush" (The Comeback; EP) – "The Beginning After The End" (In Our Bedroom After the War; LP) – "Dead Hearts" (The Five Ghosts; LP) – "The Theory Of Relativity" (The North; LP) – "Hold On When You Get Love And Let Go When You Give It" (The North; LP)

    10.14-15.12: - Overnight into this latest Birthday, when done with the Great Facebook Purge so long overdue [and barely completed in time, as a point of fact], I suddenly had the thought of "Stars? Why not?" Well, the initially thought & near-follow-through was of playing/scrobbling all of "Heart," end-to-end, as it was my first, my favorite, and [most importantly] my most affecting. However, a different turn of thought came soon into scrobbling Track #1: "What if I just scrobble the 1st tracks of all their albums [LPs + EPs that I have listened to], in order of release chronology?" That 2nd thought was the one which bore fruit. -- Slight alteration: Since "Maintenance Hall, 4am" cannot be scrobbled off of Hype Machine anymore (@#$%^&&!), I found an apt [and most likely better in the long run] substitute after a moment of consternation; "Hold On When You Get Love And Let Go When You Give It" = not only my 1st fav track off their newest LP, 'The North,' but = on Best Overall LIST.

    10.09.12: - A continuation of those songs begun with "Parishaan" by Niyaz -> "Paradise" by Coldplay, as that impromptu playlist, in all its symbolic & heavy glory never did get finished... = from "Every Teardrop is a Waterfall" by Coldplay -> "Stay Young, Go Dancing" by Death Cab for Cutie.

    10.08.12: - P.S. -- A good few of those songs played were queue'd up w/o even forethought as to the date/dates on which they were played...unconscious symbolism?

    10.08.12: - The night of Oct. 7th, bleeding into the morning of Oct. 8th, found itself taken up completely [from ~12:30 a.m. to 5:13 a.m.!] with work for Mum, which in turn evinced ~quite~ the playlist in mine headphones, to keep me awake enough to work, keep me from being egregiously bored, and keep me...well, apparently keep tugging those heartstrings, heh, along with some necessary scrobbling, of course. - {All songs from Niyaz - "Parishaan" to Coldplay - "Paradise" chosen a-purpose...}

    10.02.12: This Vevo thing (the site "vevo.com"), while considered once & then uncermoniously dropped, might just be feasible again, if only to shore up all those nagging inconsistencies in my music history [here]...plus, why not get to see all the music videos that I [sorely] missed? Synesthesia, indeed...

    10.02.12: - P.S. - While irresistibly getting fixated on fixing my "genre" tags in WMP, at least for my favorite songs/artists, I fell to recollecting & then playing the most affecting 'A Perfect Circle' songs of my youth.

    10.02.12: After somehow inexplicably finding my mind looping through the lyrics of "Maps" by the Yeah Yeah Yeah [mostly the chorus, to be honest], I just had to find it in a place to be scrobbled here, and then enough (i.e. again & again) to justify just how much it had been bearing on me that day (yesterday)...

    9.29.12: the 7272th track scrobbled = "Caught In The Crowd," by Kate Miller-Heidke, which strikes as a surprisingly powerful pop gem, even more in its seeming-adolescent simplicity...
