"Parallel Lives" is from Roisin's Overpowered album. The arrangement of "The Apple" reminds me of it more so, but vocally I definitely agree about the Grace Jones nods which is a reoccurring theme with the album. I think I may prefer the newer alternate version of "Shark in the Water" compared to the original of it. This newer take of it is much less poppier obviously, but the darker feel of it is more intriguing to me. Gives the song a completely different feel.

Thanks, got it! You know what ever since someone made a comment on Popjustice about "The Apple" being similar to Roisin Murphy's "Parallel Lives" I can't help but to agree with that? Maybe that's why I enjoy it so much. Her general sound with this new album is such a departure from her first one. It's got depth and some interesting sound structures going on. Also, on I'm board for the Sky Ferreira album and Sleigh Bells too. Not sure if you have heard of her before, but Julia Holter is an artist you should check out. Loud City Song (her latest album) has your name written all over it.

Yeah, I've checked out the Target bonus tracks and out of that "Hell You Talmbout" stuck out as the best of the bonus tracks. I need to jock an mp3 of it since I'm not going to get an additional copy of it just for that.. lol. The first listen for me was somewhat similar to yours, but more so only for the first half of the album not clicking. I was lukewarm to beginning half of the album, but the second half had immediate impact. Then with a second full listen pretty much everything clicked together and it was magical to say the least. Have you checked out V V's album yet? It's out and about if you were wondering. Sadly it doesn't get released here in the US until October though.

Love it, but I'm sure that can't be too shocking. I can't say it beats out The ArchAndroid quite yet, but it's definitely to the same realm of greatness for varying reasons. How about you?

Not sure why it didn't work the first time, but this time it should be there now for sure.

I listened to their Happiness album when it was first released and kinda liked it for the most part. I haven't listened to their Exile album yet though. I didn't even know they released anything this year until looking them up just now to check lmao. They kinda fell of the radar it seems like. By the way, you should check out Beat of Your Heart from Little Boots. It has loads of unreleased tracks/demos on it. It's more to the vein of her Hands sound, but still has some gems on it though of course.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. "All for You" is the definition of addictive. The fact that it reminds me of "Domino Dancing" by the Pet Shop Boys doesn't hurt either. For me its that and "Beat Beat" that tie for the top track of the album for me.

Nocturnes is a really good album. I mean, granted a few of the songs have been floating around for awhile, but its still a really good collective. The only thing I don't care much for is "Strangers" but even that's not bad enough to have to skip if it comes up at random. How about you?

At one point, I think we were actually "super". We always go up and down with our compatibility. Maybe I'm listening to too much Taylor Swift and Glee...
