Yesterday I was introduced to http://recordedamigagames.org/ ,which will without a doubt provide many delightful hours of entertainment next summer. In addition to http://www.amigaremix.com/ that is. They recorders also have youtube versions at http://www.youtube.com/user/cubex55 for a quick taste.

The site itself contains play-throughs of many classic Commodore Amiga games with memorable music intact. I've heard remixes like Lost Patrol In The Air Mix OC ReMix by Makke and lots of excellent work by Hazel (Bruce Lee (Fists Of Fury), anyone?). Of course there's Project X remixed by the man himself, Allister Brimble - and lots of interesting intensive remixes (like Green beret) by X-formZ. You don't want to miss Asian legends by Reyn Ouwehand either. Credits go also to Chris Hülsbeck for perfecting a lot of the TFMX 7-channel sound on the Amiga, in tracks like Turrican and R-type. Press Play on Tape has brought nice modern influence to remixing Commodore songs as well, with a "Comic Bakery Larger Than Pop Remix" music video in youtube.

Thanks go to djpretzel for making scene music flourish with remixes again. Also SLAY radio has been a hotspot for new remixes, and Nectarine radio - a veteran in keeping the spirit alive. Kohina has been keeping the pureness of sound intact, which is refreshing every now and then.
