Milestone tracks: The first 10,000

1,000th track: "Nothing's Burning" by Telepopmusik.
A very pretty song. Rather melancholy, but still one of my favorites.

2,000th track: "Godspeed" by BT.
Simply a great song by BT. It moves seamlessly between smooth, mellow vocals and body-shakin' grooves. He really shows off his musical mastery with this one.

3,000th track: "Casual Match" by Suzanne Vega.
A great song! I'm still not too familiar with it, since it's off of Nine Objects of Desire. For whatever reason, it took several years for this album to make its way into the collection and I just haven't absorbed it the way I have her others. Still, this is one of my favorite songs of hers.

4,000th track:"Dilate" by Ani DiFranco.
This was the first song of Ani's that I ever heard, and it was more than enough to get me hooked. For the simple reason that it's what got me started, Dilate is still my favorite album of hers. Wonderful album, amazing artist, fantabulous song. Yay Ani!! :)

5,000th track: "Omid (Hope)" by Thievery Corporation.
Smooooooooooth. 'Nuff said.

6,000th track: "Quicksand (Bautista Remix)" by Natalie Walker.
The original of this song is absolutely yummy, and this is a scrumptious remix. It's such a different flavor than the rest; it's so danceable yet you can still feel the sadness, pain and strength that Natalie poured into it. Very well done.

7,000th track: "Let Go" by Frou Frou.
This is a song that simply takes my breath away. The first time I heard it, it gave me the shivers. When I saw how it was used at the end of Garden State, it struck me as a perfect marriage of music and movie-making. Gotta love Immi!

8,000th track: "Days of Color" by Miguel Migs.
Migs has some of the best "chill out" beats around. If you like Thievery Corp. at all, this is someone that will quickly find a spot in your playlists. He's not as big as he should be, IMHO, so go check him out if you haven't already!

9,000th track: "Urban Angel" by Natalie Walker.
Mmmmmmm, good stuff here!! Been seriously digging this song and the rest of her album.

10,000th track: "Now I Must Remember" by Bent.
I love this song. Some wonderful insight into the human condition and what it means to live and linger, all wrapped up in the sweet sound that Bent has crafted. This song also is what got me started on Bent, which gives it some bonus points as well.

I just really dig the fact that you unabashedly admit the way a song moves you, and that you have more to say about music in general than, Cool man. :) I don't know any other males, who aren't musicians themselves, that do that. That's a compliment, btw. I particularly liked your assessment of Now I Must Remember. The part what it means to live and linger... caught me a little off guard. That's just a beautiful, indelible insight on your part. I look forward to reading your future Milestones commentary. :)

The only way to tell at this point would be through your Recent Tracks chart. However, when I just checked, they only go back about a thousand songs for you, which would only be about your 2,500th track or so, so I think you may be out of luck. :( Still, it's never too late to start keeping track of stuff if you'd like!
