Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way!~ Yeah! So, 2012 is about to end (phew, what a year!..). The world is still don’t want to end (those Maya liars…), so, let’s say something about 2012, while we’re ready to meet 2013. Since it’s my last.fm journal, I think it’s OK to say that it’s almost a year since I’ve created my account here. Ya-a-a-a-a-a-ay!!!~ ♪♫ (Hiiragi Jun's voice). I think I’ve become addicted to last.fm. I’ve met some great people (thanks for everyone from my friend list, you’re awesome, guys!), I’ve discovered some bands just because of it… No, really, I can’t imagine my life without the scribbler already! And I don’t think it’s bad. So, see you in 2013, everyone!

But before it, let’s look back. Many things happened in 2012, so, let’s take our time and remember the most memorable of them. Note that it’s not a top, or something like that, so, there’s no «winners» or «losers», it’s just a list of my favorite / unfavorite stuff and that’s it.

ALBUM OF THE YEARL’Arc~en~Ciel – BUTTERFLY (Limited Edition)

Anyone surprised? Well, yeah… I’m a Laruku maniac and it was a five long years since KISS, so, it was like OMG OMG OMG (((o(*ﾟ▽ﾟ*)o))) for me, no surprise. But honestly, even if we’ll put this fan stuff aside, it’s an amazing album. Some tracks is just astonishingly beautiful and some of them can even surprise you. shade of season, for example. I’m still surprised how Yuki-san catch that early Laruku’s mood. Amazing. Also, you may see «Limited Edition» part in my list. There’s a reason for it. And the reason is A-a-andoro-o-oido-o-o no-o-o… Ahem! Sorry. Anyway, you got the idea. Yea-a-ah, it’s P’UNK~EN~CIEL’s debut album. Can I just explode now, because I feel like I should (｡♥‿♥｡) P’UNK IS NOT DEAD is enough to make me feel like A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A!!!~ (ღ˘⌣˘ღ) (too many fan’s emotions today, deal with it), but since it was bundled with BUTTERFLY,.. It’s a freakin’ bomb! One of the brightest parts of 2012 for me. Pure love ♥

Still can’t believe how young they sounds on this album. The whole thing filled with old school sound and Imai-san’s lyrics and titles (MISS TAKE -I'm not miss take- for example). And ma-a-an, 人魚 -mermaid- is still makes me feel like it’s eighties again. Can’t get enough of it. Didn’t expect 夢見る宇宙 to become one of my favorite B-T’s albums, but whoa-a-a, now it’s in my favorite list for sure. That feeling that you’re dreaming, or flying in the night sky, or flying in the night sky while dreaming is just… It was a lo-o-ong time since I have something new to listen at night with my eyes closed just because it makes me dreaming. My poor heart just love this album ♥

REVOLVER – Let Go (Home Sessions)

Original Let Go album was the best thing that happened with me during the spring. I was introduced to the band years ago by accident - there was a person on VG forums who just said «Hey! Check this out!» and posted a video to live acoustic version of Get Around Town (it was 2008 performance for FNAC) and I can’t get enough of this band since then. I’m even collecting their videos that people posting around the net! That’s how crazy I am (big confession h-h-h-h-h-hu-u-u-u-u-uh-h-h-h-h!). It was impossible to get the new album at the first day (it wasn’t released in my country at all) and there was some… story about the delivery service (those bastards just lost my package!!!), but when I’ve finally got it… You know the feeling. My spring was all about this album. My days, my nights, my dreams, everything had REVOLVER in it. Let Go just made my mood for a whole spring. In this list though I’ve marked it as «Home Sessions», but it’s just because I’m still amazed about the fact that I have REVOLVER in my room. I mean, Home Sessions limited edition of the album includes the second CD with special live performance and it feels absolutely amazing when you listen it on your 5.1. So, Let Go like hit me twice in one year. And each time was different. Thanks, Ambroise, Christophe and Jérémie for making my life much better! Your songs is forever in my heart!

I was so-so-so excited about the new album… before I’ve got it. Used to like the band from very beginning and it was a huge shock for me to see such a raw material. It sounds like it was created long before their first album, just because it’s a completely different level of quality, charm and style. It feels like an empty shell, like a broken thing. Some tracks have a huge potential, but even they require a lot of work. There was incredibly charming songs like Milk back then. There was strong and provoking songs like Push It. There was very touching stuff like Cup of Coffee. There’s nothing like it in new album. I mean, nothing. My disappointment was so big, so I was unable to listen to the band for a long time…

I wasn’t a long-term fan of the band, but it made some of my days this year. There was something bright and awesome (let’s use this word, because they’re using it in their songs) about them. So, it was like a kick in a gut when changes struck. What changes? Well, I’ve wrote a huge entry about it in my journal, read it if you’re curious or want to get my opinion. To make it short – they’re not bright anymore. And since there’s one bright thing less in my life now, it’s kinda sad… There’s enough of the other shining things, but this one won’t shine anymore… And it makes me sad. Oh, well…

It’s a fun story. I knew about this band, used to have one or two albums, heard many good things about it from people with good taste in music and from various interviews of amazing artists like BUCK-TICK, but I never-ever started to listening to them. It was like «Yeah, I’ve heard about them, they’re good old school musicians!» for me. But then… Then there was takai-kun with her usual «Hey, sucker! Move your lazy ass here and listen to this!». Well, I’ve listened to it… And then… ヴィクトリア!!! ヴィクトリア!!!~ ♪♫ It was like a lightning. It struck in a second and I was all smoke and mad eyes with just «Wow! What was that?!». You can call me a fan now. (─‿‿─) But it’s a shame that only a few people listening to the band on last.fm, or even knew about it! So, let me pretend to be Navi from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time now and say this: «HEY!!! LISTEN!!!». Honestly, people, check ‘em out! They’re amazing! Check ‘em, or I’ll kill you ≖‿≖ Now here’s a plot (I-i-illu-u-umina-a-a-aty-y-y-y!): to make at least one million scrobbles of DER ZIBET on last.fm during 2013. 75.142 scrobbles is a joke! It’s an insult for such an awesome band! Go listen to them, will ya?!
