Awesome, Christoph was really friendly when I've talked to him about Ablebody and related things and he seemed very eager to help another friend of mine with the Japanese Spirit Youth bonus tracks back before we had them, but it seems like he got busy. We didn't want to bother him with anything else.

I didn't know he had given you those, I'd love to see them. I'd say you should maybe ask Kurt if there are other demos, but I seem to remember another friend said he didn't have them anymore because he referred him to Christoph.

as long as you keep to the exact BPM as the original (187.8), that's fine. having your part in place will help me with dynamics, transitions, and voicing (even if you plan to keep things the same as the original). and take your time—i'm super busy with life and can't get to the cover for a bit anyway.

sweet. let's do Butterfly Kisses (that was a top choice of mine). i'll need at least the drums programmed at first so i have a framework to record bass/guitar over, so whenever you get that to me, i'll start working :P

I know! For the record, though, I don't think there's a question mark in the title though. I'm trying to get in touch with a guy who has it and what looks like 7 or 8 more unreleased demos.

I'd still love to hear them sometime, it's great to hear other people's takes on DG songs. Sorry I haven't been tuning into the stream, by the way, it's been a hell of a week but I've got all my papers and essays in order now so I think I can make time to watch this weekend.

Whoa, I'd love to hear the covers if you ever uploaded them to SoundCloud! Also, I'd love to hear you make some shoegaze. I've been working on some songs for a year or so now that are kind of jazz + shoegaze/dream pop, but I don't play guitar myself so I've been having a hell of a time finishing writing them. Jazzgaze REALLY needs to be a thing.

I was really surprised when I emailed with him to learn that all the singing was him, his voice is even more androgynous than Kurt's. As for the song lengths, I think most of them are just concept demos; I think he's just making longer versions for the LP.

Heh, I nearly hit the ignore button on accident too. NMH seemed pretty intense, hopefully the last 3(?) bosses won't be a big pain the ass with the controls and whatnot because daaaang, that game is stylish. If I'm not busy writing papers, I'll tune in tomorrow night, too—is the correct time 12 PM EST or CST?

Man, your stream was really cool, I enjoyed it! Always been curious about No More Heroes, as frustrating as it seemed to be at points it still looked pretty fun. On a bit of a side note: have you seen Muramasa: The Demon Blade? I just bought a cheap copy, I bet the art would look STELLAR in Dolphin.

I had a friend who ran it in Dolphin (at 1080p even, I think?) on a really sick rig and it looked BEAUTIFUL. I brought it with me when I went off to university, but I really haven't had much time for games. Do you stream a lot of RPGs on your Twitch? Would love to watch, you should link me up sometime.

Yeah, man! I was a follower of that movement thing that campaigned to bring it and those other 2 Wii RPGs over to North America from nearly the beginning. Sad thing is, I've had it since the day it came out and I've barely even put a dent in it, I have a loooooooong way to go to beat it.

"I prefer the wisdom of the uneducated to the folly of the loquacious."

--Marcus Tullius Cicero

"There are all kinds of pedants around with more time to read and imitate Lynne Truss and John Humphrys than to write poems, love-letters, novels and stories it seems. They whip out their Sharpies and take away and add apostrophes from public signs, shake their heads at prepositions which end sentences and mutter at split infinitives and misspellings, but do they bubble and froth and slobber and cream with joy at language? Do they ever let the tripping of the tips of their tongues against the tops of their teeth transport them to giddy euphoric bliss? Do they ever yoke impossible words together for the sound-sex of it? Do they use language to seduce, charm, excite, please, affirm and tickle those they talk to? Do they? I doubt it. They’re too farting busy sneering at a greengrocer’s less than perfect use of the apostrophe. Well sod them to Hades. They think they’re guardians of language. They’re no more guardians of language than the Kennel Club is the guardian of dogkind."

--Stephen Fry

"'Someday, someday my dream will come?' One night you'll wake up and you'll discover it never happened. It's all turned around on you, and it never will. Suddenly you are old. It didn't happen, and it never will because you were never going to do it anyway. You'll push it into memory, then zone out in your Barcalounger, being hypnotized by daytime TV for the rest of your life. Don't you talk to me about murder."

--Vincent (Tom Cruise in Collateral)

"I do not know what I may appear to the world, but to myself I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the seashore, and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me."

--Sir Isaac Newton

"You don't like Beethoven. You don't know what you're missing. Overtures like that get my... juices flowing. So powerful. But after his openings, to be honest, he does tend to get a little fucking boring."

--Stansfield (Gary Oldman in Léon: The Professional)

"See, it's basic dog psychology. If you scare them and get them peeing down their leg, they submit, yet if you project weakness, you draw aggression. That's how people get hurt. You see, fear causes hesitation, and hesitation will cause your worst fears to come true. So it's simple, you project strength to avoid conflict."

--Bodhi (Patrick Swayze in Point Break)
