Oakland, California based trio Headless Lizzy & Her Icebox Pussy formed in 2009. During the course of their freely-mutating incarnation the lineup has expanded to include live drummers, metal-drummers and multiple guitarists. At the core there is singer/keyboardist & digital-programmer Zaskia Morgan, guitarist/singer M’at D. Stroire, and multi-instrumentalist Andy Anathema.

The band covers a lot of ground sonically; at times hammering out metallic guitar-driven industrial, at others flowing into tranquil streams of minimal glitch, and then coming apart at the hinges for long experimental, mantra-like psychedelic freak-outs. The band rejects identification with any one pre-established genre. If a category needs to be applied, Headless Lizzy & Her Icebox Pussy is Doom Wave – dark, torrential and heavy-as-fuck.
