So I went to a Bone Thugs-N-Harmony
concert a few hours ago. it was my husbands idea because he loves them to death plus he hasn't been to a concert before. So I had to grin and bear it to be in a completely different surrounding. We have completely different music tastes but he promises he will take me to a metal concert of my choice next time. :)
The enviroment was completely different from metal concerts I have been to in the past that's for sure.
On the plus side, we got to see the guys up close, like 2 feet in front of us. They came 2 hours late and when Chris and I walk out the door for a smoke, in walked all the guys (minus 1 that didn't show up). Wow. They just walked in the front door. I thought that was cool. We were so close to them, Chris shook one of the guys' hand walking past them. Chris was super happy and lit up with joy big time.
It was boring for the most part because it said the whole thing started at 8 pm and no one got on stage until 11pm. So many people were pissed and began booing people on stage. Everytime the person with the mic uttered the words Bone Thugs-n-harmony, people got up from their seats to the floor and the second the man says "Yea they'll be here in 20 minutes" a huge crowd goes back to their seats. I swear they said that 3 times within 1 hour. They took their sweet ass time over there but the people were still pumped when they finally showed up.
They often, between songs, play someone else's songs. The weirdest one they played was when they sang Michael Jackson's "Rock With You". I was a bit weirded out to be honest.
All in all....it was cool for my very 1st rap concert.
