Yes sir! I read Okakura Kakuzō 's immaculate "The book of Tea". I have read The Gambler (dostoevsky) and now I am 200 pages deep in Manhattan Transfer by John Dos Passos. What about you?

I am studying English at the college of Utrecht. And yes, i read them all on my own. I took a hiatus of 2 years just to read all the classics. I have a profound love for literature that goes way back. I try to read at least one novel per month. I am right now enjoying the fruits of classical music by reading Berlioz " Evenings with the Orchestra". Envision the literary voice of voltaire but dressed as a serious composer. It is both educational as it is funny! What kind of literature (maybe by writer or by genre) are you focusing on?

What non-american writers do you read? so far im liking every title you mention. I read Men of Mice by Steinbeck. I love his economic writing and I think that East of Eden is one of the great American classics. I rate it as highly as Leaves of Grass. I am wondering...what made your literary choices so profound? do you study? is it a developed interest? I am just curious.
