    Maybe not exotic, but pretty at least...hope you had a good time. One of our friends we stay with builds harps (in France and also here in the UK) and also plays one, obviously...but no bagpipes! Though Loic (a Breton) showed us a Breton version of the bagpipe but I forget what it's called. VERY noisy, but he doesn't play it in the band, thankfully :) We've stayed in Bretagne five times now and this was the first time we ever had rain. Must be lucky :D

    Actually, I celebrated it four times :p But not everything, no. Our friends we stay with live in St. Gilles-du-Mene (for 5/6 years now), and some others in surrounding towns. We were also there because one of their bands were playing live at Les 3 Poules (performing traditional Breton music mixed with Irish folk songs) and my boyfriend sings the vocals on the Irish folk songs and some covers of The Pogues :) It was rainy and grey Thurs/Friday but we were rehearsing then mostly anyway and then Sat and Sunday it was pretty nice and hot. Wayyy too many late nights with no sleep and too much wine etc, but lots of amazing food and nice music so it was all good. Only downside was the HUGE fucking hornets and had a pretty long journey home due to problems with LD Lines at Le Havre. Rude? Not at all!

    Haha. OK, I thought you were being serious :s I celebrated both my birthday and my nephews 1st birthday last weekend, so it was a pretty hectic and very drunken one! I'm actually going to be in Bretagne (St-Gilles-du-Mene) for the next four days celebrating my birthday again with friends over there. We leave tonight and then have a 3-4 hour drive from Le Havre as we left booking tickets too late and couldn't get to St. Malo. So a nice drive through the countryside and then lots, lots more drunkedness etc :)

    Je vais essayer de mon mieux. Ca marche quelquefois mais il y a quelques problemes, evidemment! Quant a tes idees a propos de Lady Gaga, je ne comprends pas l'engouement. C'est sympa peut-etre (le musique) mais, pour moi, pas revolutionnaire. Restons-en a nos positions respectives :p J'espere que tu as passe un bon weekend!
