My Top Three Artists of 2010

25. Dez. 2010, 22:47

Well Hello my lovely friends, its that time of year again...
what time of year?. I hear you say?,, Oh its the time when i review my Favourite Artists of the Year, and say where i think they're gonna go in 2011,
So without further ado
heres my top three artists of 2010...

1.Arcade Fire
Now, I have been listening to Arcade Fire since 2005, This band have had praise from everywhere,[event=]and even Headlined Madison Square Gardens[/event]. This Year with the release of their 3rd Album, The Suburbs they got thrust into the limelight, it was a astonishing album [event=]and i even got to catch them LIVE IN GLASGOW[/event] which was one of the most amazing gigs i have ever been too and really made me realise that people who say they are as good as Radiohead or U2 may actually be right.

They have had a brilliant time with the Media starting with [event=]a secret show at the Hackney Empire[/event] which NME Picked up and Reported on, after that, they went on to [event=]Headline the Leeds Festival[/event]

With a new Album and tour planned for 2011 they may have a pretty good year!

2. Lissie
and so on to number 2, this one was a pretty difficult one to choose since i have been REALLY enjoying both Lissie and Crystal Castles[/artists]
But i finally decided to go with
Lissie, she is a brilliant country singer/folk singer from the US and she really made her mark this year, by getting In Sleep picked up by iTunes and put onto their Song of the Week, i picked it up through that and i was blown away, i was so impressed by Lissie that i waited a whole 3 Months for her debut album Catching A Tiger which now is, in my opinion one of the best albums of 2010, a fantastic mix of upbeat and depressing songs and a very good voice to go with it.. [event=]This year i was lucky enough to get to see her at the Leadmill in Sheffield[/event] supported by The Pierces which a fantastically good gig..

Look out for Lissie on the Festival circuit next year, i have a feeling she may be going places!

3.Crystal Castles
Now this was a very difficult decision but i finally landed on Crystal Castles
They have had a absolute blast of a year, doing countless festivals and making themselves known on the Indie Scene, well and truly...
They will have a good year in 2011, watch out for them, i have a feeling they may [b]JUST[/b] sneak up to number 2 at the end of 2011, but we will have to wait and see!

and there we go, there is my top 3 for 2010... There is a few mistakes there.
But at the time of writing its 10:44pm on Christmas Day and i am absolutely exhausted. So i will edit this tomorrow. Its been a fantastic year for Music, and i hope that next year will do better

This is the only time i write journels so,

Have a Great New Year

and i will see you in September for my "Top Three of the First Bit of 2011"..
